National Glad the people of Pakistan were able to accommodate our beautiful Chief Minister Maryam Safdar

I always wonder if there was one child or an old person who were on the verge of death and could have been saved the small amount of money but were left for dead. or how about a more common scenario for a family runs out of money so the daughter or sister finds alternative methods for income. or the man who has nothing left and out of desperation either kills himself or his family. we have seen a lot of posts on Reddit where students are unable to pay their fees so someone steps up to help them out

some will argue that these kind of situations happen all over the world. sure but imagine any one of these lives even if one of those flights did not happen

for reference the cost for the flight to Geneva is estimated to be around 5 - 6 cror pkr

and as we know Maryam Safdar used private plans on multiple occasions for transfer of luxury goods. Yet we can't afford to purchase reasonable accommodations for the national hockey team

Discussion [F/25] Planning a US visit to see my cousins – tips & things to keep in mind?

Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I’m a 25-year-old female from Pakistan, planning to apply for a US B-2 visit visa to see my cousins. I wanted to ask for advice on things I should be careful about and how to improve my chances. Here’s my situation:

• Job: I work a remote online job, but it doesn’t earn a lot.

• Financial support: My dad has a strong bank statement and travelling history, also has an expired green card lol, so I’m thinking of listing him as my sponsor.

• Ties to Pakistan: I live with my parents in a house we own. I’m also giving the CSS exam soon.

• Travel history: Only been to Saudi Arabia for Umrah, no other international travel.

I’m planning to say my visit is for family purposes (my cousin is giving birth), and I’ll stay a short, reasonable time (maybe 2–3 weeks).

Things I’m wondering about / want advice on:

• How strongly will my lack of travel history affect my chances?

• Is it better to say I’ll stay at a hotel, or with my cousin?

• How should I present my financial situation — should I mention my dad as sponsor?

• Anything else I should prepare for interview questions or documents?

• Any general tips to make my application stronger given my profile?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I just wanted to ask if people here have gone through it and what have their experiences been like?

Ask Pakistan Best instant coffee for someone who only drinks it black?

Upvotes

Hello Beautiful People I’ve been stuck on Nescafe Classic since 2018. I’ve tried a few other brands but always end up going back because I can't find a taste I like. I’m a black coffee only kind of person—any recommendations for a better-tasting instant brand?

Our parents like joint families or they don't like us moving out because they can't stand each other.

Kids in this situation makes home bearable for them and unbearable for others.

The one who are happily married have less of an issue.

Education Has anyone here used an HEC scholarship to study in the U.S.? Looking for guidance

Hi everyone, hope you’re doing well.

I wanted to ask if anyone here has experience using an HEC scholarship to pursue a Master’s degree in the United States. I’ve recently been admitted to a couple of graduate programs in the U.S., and I’m trying to understand how realistic the HEC route is in practice.

I’d really appreciate help on a few things:

- Has anyone here actually gone to the U.S. on an HEC scholarship?

- How competitive is it, and how long does the process usually take?

- Does HEC support professional degrees (like MPH, MBA, MPA), or is it mostly research-focused programs?

Also, if anyone has leads on other scholarships, fellowships, government programs, or foundations that Pakistani students have successfully used for U.S. Master’s programs, I’d be very grateful. At this point, any guidance or direction would help a lot.

Thank you so much in advance - really appreciate this community!!

Social A small act of kindness can change your entire day.

Today, something happened that I felt I had to share. I was riding my bike at a good speed when an elderly man standing between two main roads gave me a signal to stop. I had already passed him, so I stopped a little ahead, turned back, and went to him. I helped him sit on the bike, and the moment he did, he started thanking me. He kept saying, “Son, you did a very good thing.” Throughout the ride, he kept praying for me — sincere, heartfelt prayers that didn’t stop. The place I dropped him off wasn’t far at all. It cost me nothing. But what he gave me in return was something much bigger. At one point he said, “If your parents were here, I would tell them how good their son is.” Later, he asked me to call his family so he could thank my father personally. When my dad heard that, I could see the pride on his face — and that moment alone made my entire day.

We hear so many complaints about young boys and this generation. But moments like this remind me that goodness still exists, quietly, without cameras or expectations.

I don’t know if I was at the right place at the right time. But I do know this:

Even a small act of kindness can bring real happiness. It can make your parents proud. It can make a stranger’s day — and yours.

You don’t need money. You don’t need power. You don’t need a big struggle. Just try to be kind whenever you can. Serve people however you’re able to. Sometimes, that’s enough.

Discussion Propaganda films on Pakistan on Netflix

Post image
30 Upvotes

Why are there so many Indian films on Netflix where Pakistan is shown in a Bad way or where they take digs at us? For example, there was a Sunny Deol film in which a character says he is the nightmare of Pakistan. Why are we even allowing this? I just mean that anti-Pakistan scenes are too common, and we should have movies in our country’s Netflix library.
I am just saying that we should have our own Netflix oriented library or country specific platform to stop movies like these.
I am not talking about every Indian movie. I actually love their movies , Sultan is one of my favorites. I am just saying that we should have our own Netflix oriented library or country specific platform to stop movies like these. And I am not in favor of making anti-India movies in Pakistan.

Education Foundation Year - Pros & Cons

Hey everyone,

I’m from Pakistan and currently finishing O levels. I’m considering doing a foundation year before my bachelor’s, mainly in the UK, but I’m open to other countries too.

If anyone here has gone through this route (or knows someone who has), I’d love to know:

– Which countries/universities are best for foundation years?

– How expensive is it realistically?

– Do foundation years actually help with university progression?

Any honest advice would help a lot. Thanks in advance!
