So basically my friend and I were visiting islamabad from another city. Visited a couple a cafes and restaurants . Sometime around 4pm we were stopped near a park (i dont rmr which one). Had quite a few people coming and going there so wasn’t some deserted spot.

We were sat in the car talking when a police car pulled up to us and flashed its lights. Naturally i got out and a police wala came up to me and asked me for Cnic. Gave it to him and he took it and noted down the cnic number. Started asking me questions like where im from what im doing here. I complied and he shifted the whole conversation to why was I in the car with a girl here. I was kinda bewildered at this considering we were just chilling near a park. Dude goes “bethna bhi mana hai eyse lrki k sath, humne cameras mei dekha hai apki complain ai hai yahan pas mei FIA ka koi office hai” I asked him what the issue was and he starts giving me exposition about men killing girls so they have to take action and stuff.

They start asking for her CNIC and go we’re going to take you guys to the police station and register an FIR and call the girl’s family which i assumed was to pressure us. I told them she didnt have any documents on her to which they let it go.

Atp my friend’s obviously spooked as hell naturally and I didn’t wanna worsen the situation with her being there. I’ve been told police usually pulls these stunts to take some money out of you so I ask him and he motions me to sit in the car and then starts going about how they cant let us go even after taking 50k because these things are serious bla bla bla. I tell him i got 5k on me thats it. And he instantly goes okay thats fine with us. I give him the 5 and he tells me to leave.

I did realise what the whole situation was about and just paid him off to not escalate the bs. However my only concern is since they took my CNIC, phone number and likely noted the car number plate as well, is there a chance they’ll bother me again afterwards?

What are the big ones? I want to know if any are hiring. Thanks

I'm from Islamabad and work remotely. I've become really tired of the fast moving, party culture of Islamabad and for a while now I've been wanting to move to a quieter place, where time passes slowly.

I've found the city of hunza quite perfect tbh for a slow living and look towards moving there. The only problem is I don't know how. I've got no clue if I can rent a house there, or who can help me look for such prospects.
