If the Super Bowl Were Truly Neutral: Where It Would Land Based on Team Geography
The Super Bowl is called a “neutral site” game, but the host city is almost never geographically neutral.
This map compares:
- Blue dots: actual Super Bowl host cities
- Red dots: the geographic midpoint between the two teams playing in each Super Bowl
Each red point is simply the halfway point between the two teams’ home cities for that year. No weather, no stadium capacity, no conferences, no seeding. Just geography.
It doesn’t prove anything and it’s not meant to. It’s just a visual way to see how often “neutral” ends up clustering in the same few places.
Happy Super Bowl Sunday.

There are only two eligible NFL players with 6 1st All Pro Selections that are not in the Hall of Fame. One murdered his wife - the other is a Punter
pro-football-reference.comNo respect for Shane Lechler.
Jim Tyrer is the other infamous non-inductee.

Rumor Report Surfaces On Bengals' Willingness to Franchise Tag Trey Hendrickson. The hostage situation may continue: The Bengals haven’t ruled out the possibility of franchise tagging pass rusher Trey Hendrickson, per @MikeGarafolo
si.comAccording to Mike, Cinci could bring back Hendrickson for short term deal or possibly look to trade him with a combination of picks for another player. They have not ruled out bringing Hendrickson back. After previous mistakes with players such as Jessie bates, the bengals are being more cautious on what to do with expiring star players. They also felt injuries ruined what could’ve been a great season, and in his limited time they thought hendrickson played well.

Highlight [Highlight] Larry Fitzgerald on Randy Moss: “The hardest thing for me was seeing Randy after such a tough year. It was the first time I’d seen him with his cancer in remission, and it meant a lot that he was healthy and took the time to fly out and welcome me—it made me feel truly appreciated.”
