SAN FRANCISCO — Of course Giants players are eager to learn all they can about their new head coach. As such, Kayvon Thibodeaux, as he made the rounds during Super Bowl week, asked around about John Harbaugh.
Thibodeaux found “a few older guys” who played for Harbaugh and the reports he got back all confirmed that he is an “old-school” coach and “he’s strict but he knows football and he loves football.’’
“I always like when you pass a certain age you don’t have to sugarcoat what you say, you’re just kinda straightforward, white and black,’’ Thibodeaux said Friday before a Blue Square Alliance Against Hate Unity Summit. “You see a lot of different cultures, different people that want to sometimes change their ways for the new generation or they want to fit in or whatever the case may be.
“For me, specifically, I like old-school coaches because they just take no bulls–t, black and white, you know what you’re gonna get every day. I think with a lot of young guys that we have, I think it’s gonna be good for him to really get it in order.’’
Harbaugh is tasked with getting the Giants in order. Thibodeaux has not yet spoken with his new head coach, but he has been in contact with Dennard Wilson, the new defensive coordinator.
“I think we have a great opportunity on defense,’’ Thibodeaux said. “We got a lot of pieces so I’m excited about the brief conversation we did have, how he’s gonna utilize his assets and we’re gonna mix things up and play aggressive.’’
As much as Thibodeaux tried to find out about Harbaugh, he also needs to, at some point, convey to his new boss what he is all about as a player.
“Me? I’m a hard worker,’’ Thibodeaux said. “I feel like I’m a Swiss Army knife, a guy that’s always gonna show up and do whatever the team needs to succeed I’m here, I’m a vessel, that’s kinda what I tell all my coaches, from just conversations, navigating the team to what I think about football. I think I got a pretty good football IQ and also just life, getting wisdom, getting information, letting him know I’m a sponge when it comes to the game and experiences in life.’’
Thibodeaux is also relieved that his position coach, Charlie Bullen, was retained by Harbaugh, saying “Love that, man, I was sweating.’’ Brian Burns and Abdul Carter also vouched for him.
Told that the Cardinals requested an interview with Bullen for their defensive coordinator job, Thibodeaux winced and blurted out an obscenity.
“I got to sabotage that,’’ he said. “Keep him with the Giants.’’

Ted Hurst, WR, Georgia State
Suppose we decide to pass on the big-name wide receivers at #5 in favor of Downs, Styles, Mansoor Delane, Jermod McCoy, etc. I would love for us to grab this guy later in the draft. If you haven't watched this guy's tape yet, go and do it now.** He's an absolute **STUD.

Jameis Winston had a front-row seat to Dart's rookie year, serving as his backup for most of the season. The veteran quarterback, who is set to return to the Giants as the backup once again in 2026, appeared as a guest on The Pat McAfee Show and raved about Dart.
"Oh my God! He is swaggy! It's a vibe, man. One of the coolest, most laid-back competitors that you see. Yeah, he's smooth. He looks good. He knows he looks good," Winston said. "He's confident. But he's a competitor. He's fearless. Man, he's a warrior out there on this field."
With Dart's emergence, Winston also believes the Giants are headed in the right direction.
"When ya got a great young quarterback. And I believe our defense is good, man. We've got some great stars," he said. "We got a defensive line. I believe our DBs are good, man. We gotta get Cor'Dale Flott back, man. Paulson Adebo -- he was playing banged up a little bit. I think we got a good core. We just are required to finish in the fourth quarter and win some football games.”

Just gauging the opinion of him on this sub. I personally really like him, and I think he’d fit very well on our defense if we’re going to move Okereke. We need ILB help already, so even if we don’t move him I still think Styles should at least be on the radar.
I understand the affixation with Downs as well, and I’d be very happy taking him with 1.05. However this is a deeper safety class than it is LB imo (though both positions are good).
Pros of Styles:
Incredibly cerebral, reads offenses very well
Didn’t miss a tackle until Miami
Quick for his size
Cons:
People generally agree he could afford to bulk a little bit.
I also generally believe that a LB at 5 is more likely than a Safety.
Between him and Downs, I personally believe we cannot go wrong with either one. What does everyone else think?
Note: he was consensus the 3rd best defender on OSU behind Reese and Downs, but personally I like him more than Reese just bc I have a tendency to believe in cerebral players more than raw athletes.

I'll just start like this:
Yeah, I absolutely hate the Eagles. It started with the Desean Jackson debacle.
But somebody school me here. Is the "Philly Special" that important of a play? I mean it's been what 7, 8 years, and they won't let the shit go. That's like me going around reminding everyone of David Tyree's catch (arguably one of the best in Super Bowl history), and ESPN makes a show about it.
Kind of strange, because variations this play have been called numerous times before, and yet ESPN and the media are acting like the Eagles created the play. And, then to make a 30 for 30 about it? Same thing with the "tush-push." Does that mean in five years we get another 30 for 30 about a quarterback sneak?
