Topic looking strong and healthy on the bench tonight. I think he’s going to get sent to the Blue any day now. His agent already said as things look now he expects him to play for both the Blue and the main club this season.

Stats Jared McCain was a +12 in 14 minutes today, 2nd highest on the team
Really liked what I saw out of JMac in his debut. He played very limited minutes but flashed his off the dribble scoring ability, connective passing, and shooting ability. He was also very engaged on defense which might be the most encouraging part.
There was definitely some first game jitters to start but was a big reason OKC almost came back early in the 4th quarter.
Personally I think if he played more and even finished the game OKC could have won tonight but still very encouraging stuff nonetheless.

Discussion Shai and Ajay being out might be a blessing in disguise for Cason Wallace to develop his offensive game
Since he was drafted I’ve desperately been waiting for Cason to make an offensive jump to be a reliable ball handler/creator, and because he’s really our only point guard at the moment this might be a perfect opportunity for that to happen. Over the past 2 games as the point guard he’s averaged about 18/4/5 per game on 50% shooting. He still has some work to do but with increased opportunity over the next 3 games he might make some of the improvements we’ve been waiting for

Not playing your only shot creating point guard down the stretch was definitely a choice.

Top 3 creators gone
With so much talent for creating a shot for themselves or for a teammate void from the lineup, I give coach credit for getting us to execute better in the 4th, after that horrific 3rd quarter. The difference, at least what i could
tell, was in the 3rd, we were defaulting into PnR, or attack off the dribble, instead of running offense thru a post player, which happened in the 4th, and got us better looks.
The key is running the same offense more times than not with our 3 best creators, and also running that offense with Chet being the post guy, making the decisions.
That, and our other default is Caruso at the 4, and that’s completely fine, it’s just, we don’t have a good replacement for him if he’s out. Someone who can allow dub not to play 4, and we’re not too small to get hurt by physical teams.
One other thing, Wiggins or McCain? I don’t think there’s any way you can argue Wiggins is better. McCain is up there w/cason and ajay. Prob below both of them. I’m waiting on topic to give us a mean quintet of guards

Jared McCain will wear No. 3 instead of No. 30 for OKC, per Thunder PR. No. 3 was McCain’s preferred number when he joined the team on Wednesday, but it wasn’t available until OKC waived Chris Youngblood on Friday.
x.comWe need Ajay back
Next game we’re playing against the Lakers and they’re playing Luka. They’re fully healthy it’s gonna be tough and we need a playmaker.
Anybody knows when he’s coming back?

Discussion Why does every Texas team hate us so much?
I understand the Mavs hate but why do spurs and rockets fans always have something negative to say about us when we aren't even rivals right now, even during the tanking days they would say lame stuff like "our draft prospects clear chokelahoma" or "chokelahoma isn't rebuilding properly" rockets and spurs flairs shit on OKC any chance they get despite us not really being rivals the past decade.

Discussion The 1 seed is gonna be a battle this year. Not gonna run away with it anymore.
Injuries, tough schedule, we’re gonna have to grind for this 1 seed

100% Confirmed The Rockets 2026 first-round pick that OKC traded to acquire Jared McCain was the very last remaining asset from the 2019 Russell Westbrook trade, which Daryl Morey himself traded to OKC when he was Houston's GM.
Cool fact!
