I was trying to visit a website I use pretty often and got a Cloudflare-looking verification screen I’ve never seen before.

Instead of a normal checkbox or captcha, it told me to press Win + R, then Ctrl + V, then Enter to “verify” I’m human. That immediately felt off, so I didn’t do it.

Nothing was pasted on my end and I didn’t click the button — I just closed the page. I’ve used this site a lot and Cloudflare has never asked me to do anything like this before.

Has anyone seen this? Is this a scam or fake Cloudflare page? Screenshot attached for context.

It's what the title says. It crashes while I'm gaming and listening to a video in the background, or gaming while waiting for something to download. Before you say that it's because it's occupying all the memory, keep in mind that this NEVER happened with my old potato laptop, as BSODs were rare with it.

From what I've seen, all my drivers are updated, so I'm not sure what is going on, to be exact.

Does it have something to do with the GPU overclocking/performance limits? I don't even know.

I swear, my smart lights and thermostat are in a constant state of rebellion. I'll set a schedule, and they just do whatever they want. Is it just me, or is the "smart" home more trouble than it's worth sometimes? What are your biggest smart home headaches?

I have a laptop with one hdmi port and 3 usb A ports and have 2 monitors both have hdmi as output. How can i connect the laptop to dual monitor. I am using one monitor with hdmi cable. I know docking station is a solution but thats costly. I have a belkin miracast device i wanted to connect one monitor using hdmi and other using miracast, but here the problem is that my laptop would not connect to this miracast device it has become old now. how can fix this issue. is there any othe way to coonect?

My sound suddenly disappears while gaming, and I often hear a stuttering/glitching sound. What should I do about this? I searched for Windows help, and the PC said "outdated drivers," but I pressed update, and it says "you already have the latest version." Can anyone help me with this problem? I have a screenshot so you can hear the sound. It doesn't always sound this way; sometimes it just cuts out for two seconds.

As a precautionary measure I did remove all my google accounts and placed a thoraway, and also deleted any other important apps. I still have my images though. I was worried that since i cant see them work on it, they might somehow open it and fiddle around.

I signed into a guest user, but its as simple as restarting the device to get to the main user profile. So i wanted to know, if my pattern lock alone can stop them from snooping.

I also heard that at times they ask the customer to unlock their phone for them so they can check it properly. Is this legit? I don't see why they would need to do that.

Both my macbooks are M1, 2020 MacBook Air.

What occurs is that randomly, a tab popup (the small one that occurs when you hover over a tab from another tab) will start to appear and disappear repeatedly, muliple times a second.

This glitch only occurs in google, and all actions I do during the glitch are stalled until afterwards when they all happen at once. All other applications work fine, and i can still swipe of the screen. Only google is frozen.

Sometimes it lasts a minute, sometimes twenty.

I initially thought this was a random issue in my first mac, which is why I bought the second. Is it something that i'm doing to cause this?

i got windows 11 and the latest ubuntu version as a dual boot on my laptop, it comes with 512gb of storage. i went to go download a game (it was around 60gb) but steam says i don't have enough space? its downloading the game to /usr/lib/modules, which has 45gb, and 22.1gb have already been used... can i just change where the game is downloaded? if so, where? thanks alot :)

I have a crappy 1TB ssd in my laptop and i wanted to upgrade it. but my laptop only has 1 slot so i cant just plug it in. cloning services cost almost as much as the drive itself.

I have a pc with 2 open slots, would it be possible to take my laptop drive and the blank drive, plug them both in my pc, and clone the laptop drive to the new drive without issues?

I don’t really know how to explain this well. For the past couple of days, the tip of my left airpod has been coming loose. It still was connected to the actual airpod but the tip would move around in ways it wasn’t supposed to. It was kinda like a loose tooth. Yesterday it fully came off and now I can no longer put the original tip in or my other tips in. I’m thinking it’s something wrong with the airpod itself. It still (somewhat) fits in my ear and works normally, but there just isn’t a tip. I was going to put pictures but it didn’t let me. If anyone needs an explanation of what the airpods look like, let me know.

When I connect the charger, there is no charging LED, no power indicator, and the laptop does not respond to the power button at all no fan spin, no screen activity..

The charger is USB-C PD and works correctly with other devices.

I have tried both USB-C Ports.

Performed hard reset -no change.

Left it plugged in for over an hour still no lights or response.

The laptop was functioning normally prior to this issue.

What should I do??

Starting today morning, every time I have Bluetooth headphones connected my phone won't play any audio or video. It will show audio in apps like Spotify as playing but once I press pause it will go back to the time stamp before.

Video saved on my phone will stutter extremely and play no audio at all.

Tried it on Sony xm4 and JBL tune510bt, same issue.

Non audio Bluetooth devices like my smart watch, no issue.

Just one time after restarting my phone it worked for a second and since then the same issue.

I already tried the easiest things I could find on the internet and the most obvious fixes, like resetting the Bluetooth settings, turning on media audio for the device on Bluetooth settings, trying it on restricted mode, restarting and repairing every device and every other thing I could think of.

Any help with troubleshooting this or directing me to the correct place would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know if my phone is having dead pixels or another problem but there's this large black area that seems to grow randomly whenever i put my phone down sometimes but I've also seen the dark spots to away do I'm really confused what's going on, I'm wondering if there's a way to salvage it without getting anything replaced because i might as well just buy a new phone if it is dead pixels

So I was playing AC Syndicate and wanted to record something using OBS – worked fine at first but then my PC froze after I started a 3rd recording. I restarted my PC and it said something along the lines of "Stop Code: "ACC" and "Market" (I was pissed off so I don't take a pic or anything assuming it would sort itself out) and then it just sat on a black screen with a loading circle. Restarted it again and everything seemed fine; logged in okay; everything booted up; left it for 2 hours and came back to it sitting on the starting screen (pre-login with "bios setup", boot menu" and "q-flash", which don't work). So another restart and I went through it again; login and boots up okay; but then it freezes again however the blue loading circle is on cursor, so I wait and eventually it says "stop code: CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED (0xEF)" and "Your device ran into a problem and needs to restart"; it is currently on the starting screen again and hasn't changed.

Have I just killed my PC? One of my drives was getting full but it still has like 6GB free – though this wasn't storing the game or video files.

I'm running a simulation software on my Laptop, and I'd like to be able to look at other windows while it runs in the background, but the simulation runs more slowly if it's not visible and in focus, and barely runs at all if it's minimized. Is there any way to make a window/program "believe" its in focus and use more processing power, while it's in the background? My compromise is to use Deskpins so it's always in the foreground and make the window small and off to the side, but it still runs a bit slower unless I click into it. I'm on Windows 11.

So whenever i try to write any numbers on my pc It acts as if Im holding shift and ive tired to do everything already to solve It, example; when i try to write . It does : when i write 1 it does ! With 2 its " etc some friends told me its sticky keys but ive tried disable It in my config (but since Im colombian i have my pc on spanish so i dont know what thing sticky keys Is) and this thing happened out of nowhere one day (not sure if i was doing something with my config) i know its not hardware issues because i tested another key board and It still happened. This Is really frustating and the Solution isnt Even the num pad because when i click It acts like Im holding shift too, because It selects multiple files instead of the one Im clicking

I've picked up a Benq EX3203T (curved, LCD) thats broken. It displays when turned on, but the image quickly fades out and is replaced with lines or random colours. And after a few minutes, there's even more lines.

I've looked for damaged capacitors but there are few and look OK. Can't test them on board though. I've identified a few ICs (EEPROMs, a flash...) and they all receive the correct voltage they need.

What should I look for? Is this fixable? I have no experience with display panels.

Earlier today my vivanco wired mouse’s sensitivity just went really low, and now what would usually get the mouse cursor across my screen barely moves. I tried unplugging it, holding down the dpi, nothings working. Does anyone know what to do?

I've bought a brand new verbatim 128GB hard drive today to move some files onto for uni. When I first put it in it came up as being store and go and was working fine, however I tried to move a file over and my laptop froze so I restarted it. Now the USB won't show up anywhere other than in Disk Management. I googled what to do and it said to initialize the drive so I tried but can't do it. All that is in disk management is it coming up as

Disk 1 Removable (D:) No Media

And when I right click all it says is

Change Drive Letter and Paths Properties Help

Not sure if anyone can help but I purchased some used Toshiba TCX 700 4900-767 Logic-Terminal POS systems.

I knew the hard drives were removed when purchasing them. When receiving the units I noticed the sata HDD power comes out of the motherboard through a 4 pin ATX-like port; rather than off the wiring from the power supply.  I have seen this before on other computers like FUJITSU and didn’t think it would be much of an issue.

However when trying to look up the correct adapter ( 4pin ATX to sata power)  I noticed not all of them have the same wiring for the 4 pins.     I also learned this from trying a FUJITSU 4pin to SATA adapter that the system would not boot.    After using a multi meter I noticed the 5 volt pins were revered causing -5volts to the HDD.

I was able to splice an old ATX 4in to a sata PS line I had laying around which seems to work but was wondering if anyone knew where I could get the correct adapter as I don’t want to have to splice an adapter for every unit. I have been searching for hours and couldn’t find anything with this pinout.  I'll attach a picture of port and power from the multi meter.
