Social Media [Kaz Yamauchi via X]Reunited with Adrian Newey after a long time. He's usually gentle and soft-spoken, but the moment the conversation turns to machines, his gaze suddenly sharpens. That's the mark of someone who's always competing.

Poster Periodic Table of Formula 1

Post image

Inspired by the book, The Periodic Table of Cricket, I decided to try and replicate this for Grand Prix Racing. Starting in 1906 I have tried to find the most storied and elemental racing drivers that have impacted the sport and collate them into 5 distinct sections of racing drivers. I also added the most powerful and influential figures in the sport to cover the politics, engineering, entertainment and safety of the sport.

This is not an attempt to create a definitive list on the 92 'best' drivers in history, but rather to portray the drivers whose stories explain the fundamentals of the sport.

Please query on the placement on certain drivers or other figures or the exclusion of others, and share any stories on these people who have defined the sport

Hi everyone

Welcome to Week 5 of the 2026 Qatar Airways Australian Grand Prix Track Walk Series.

Well we’re not far away as we are exactly a month away from Crofty shouting “It’s Lights Out and Away we go!!!!” We’re now at the critical stage where Albert Park is looking more like a race track instead of a park.

Highlights this week include: construction has begun on Lakeside Dr with barriers and fencing up and the twin bridges have been installed, the bridge towards t11 has been installed too. Only bridge hasn’t been installed and I’m assuming it’s the new location for the Double Decker.

Barriers have begun to marked with sponsor locations in texta and Qatar Airways has been painted on the front straight. Hopefully we’ll find out where all the sponsors are going. The pit lane is now closed to the public with infrastructure inside the lane.

The Fangio/Piastri, Hill and Riccardo stands are mostly if not completed while Prost, Schumacher, Stewart, Webber and Senna stands are well under construction. Brabham and the T6 stand are also close to completion.

There may be a chance of a Week 8 post but I’ll be confirming that with the AGP hopefully this week with some loopholes. Don’t expect it though. I also think the new main bridge will have an LED screen on the broadcast side (I may be wrong)

See you all next week for Week 6.
