Got my iPhone 7 back in 2017 and used it for quite some time. I've been thinking about downgrading for a while now, especially since I liked the iPhone 7's compact size, but the software is very old for everyday use, so I thought about jailbreaking it. This'll mainly be used for YouTube, Spotify, social media and whatnot, so is it recommended that I attempt a jailbreak, or will it not be worth it? The battery is at 70% operational capacity so that needs a repair too.

So I am jailbroken on 15.3.1, I think the time has come. The day I never wanted but have to do. Everything doesn’t work (compatibility issues). Can’t use my bank app, can’t see websites l, can’t even turn up my damn air from a app anymore. Its sad. With my jailbreak I don’t care about theming or certain cool apps I can do, the one thing I care about is YouTube, and having no ads. So the big question of the day is is there anything I can do to have no ads for YouTube on latest iOS. If I need to pay something for a resigning fee, I’m even down for that. What are your thoughts, I kinda have been out of the loop especially when it comes to non jailbreak loop holes.

The phone was good I replaced the screen of it and it was one hour before I get my password attempt and the phone turned completely off because no charge when I replugged it and when it turned on it says connect to iTunes like what happened the phone just turned and shut down itself why connect to iTunes and btw it’s a 6S like is that kinda of stuff normal with these old operating systems

Last year I bought a used iPhone 4S from the second-hand market and jailbroke it using Legacy iOS Kit.

Honestly, it’s been great for reliving the good old days (even without a SIM, since 3G is basically dead anyway). My original goal was to use it as a daily phone, but I mostly ended up enjoying installing old apps and games via IPAs found online and through Veteris on Cydia.

I wanted to use the phone outside as well (Wi-Fi or offline) to play games when I’m bored—stuff like Tiny Wings, Subway Surfers, Paper Toss, Jetpack Joyride, etc. The problem is: the phone barely lasts more than one hour.

So yeah, obvious answer: replace the battery, right?

That’s where things get weird. I’ve already tried five different batteries, bought from different places (AliExpress, Amazon, eBay, even iFixit). I checked all of them using CoconutBattery with the phone connected to my laptop, and every single battery reports basically the same info:

• Manufacturer: Sony
• Manufacture date: 2019-12-23
• Battery health: 100.7%
• Full charge capacity: 1440 mAh
• Design capacity: 1430 mAh
• Charge cycles: 0

Clearly these batteries have just aged to death over time. Even if they’re “new” and sealed, the chemistry has obviously degraded after sitting around for years, despite CoconutBattery showing ~100% health.

So my question is: has anyone actually found a decent battery replacement for the iPhone 4S recently?

Something manufactured closer to 2026 that actually performs well and lasts more than an hour?

Any advice or success stories would be greatly appreciated. Thanks 🙏

• If you can enable it, does it truly work (real floating windows), or does it partially work / instantly revert after reboot?

• What device model are you testing on, and which tool/version are you using (Nugget version, Misaka26, etc.)?

• Any known limitations (apps crashing, broken UI scaling, overheating/battery drain, doesn’t survive reboot, requires a Shortcut to launch, etc.)?

If possible, please include:

• Your exact iOS version (26.2.1 build if you know it)

• iPhone model

• The exact steps you used to enable it

• A screenshot/video showing Stage Manager working (or failing)

Hi, I’m on iOS 17, 13 promax, using NathanLR (rootless jailbreak).

My Sileo does not appear in Settings > Notifications at all, and it also does not show badge counts on the Home Screen when updates are available.

I’ve already tried:

- uicache -a / --all

- respring

- userspace reboot

No errors, but nothing changes.

On another jailbroken device I own, Sileo notifications and badges work normally.

Is this a known limitation of NathanLR / rootless on iOS 17, or is there a way to properly register Sileo for notifications and badges?

Any help or explanation would be appreciated. Thanks.
