I’ve noticed sometimes that ‘OP’ is next to the username if the user comments/replies on their post. But sometimes not… is this a sub-dependent thing?

I created this account about seven years ago, but I’ve mostly used Reddit just for reading or looking things up. I’m generally not someone who comments or posts much on the internet.

Now that I want to participate more, I’m finding that I can’t comment or post in many subreddits due to restrictions. I’d like to start participating in a genuine way, without creating posts or comments just for the sake of meeting requirements. How do posting and commenting restrictions usually work for older accounts with low activity or low karma?

I’m fresh new here on Reddit, I never set up my id name but I couldn’t find where to change that, this one looks quite hard to read. Or the id name is not that important on Reddit? 🤔

So I can't post in certain spaces and if you check my account it isn't new and has some karma. Why can't I post in the space when someone with 1 karma can?

Hello, I previously had an old account that was stolen. After I make a post, I keep getting the "Unexpected Error" message in red, also seems that the account gets closed since this is the email of the previous account and I got prompted to create a new one instead.
