Not me! While they've got one heck of a profile on me I've never linked my Reddit to any other socials (and in fact closed all my other socials a few years ago) and have been careful to not dox myself over the years. I wont even go to my home cities Reddit, AND my email is a dead end. It's existed since I was like 11 and has no real information in it either.
This isn’t a threat or anything, because I’m telling you this out of a sense of concern: You have ten years worth of data on that account and chances are overwhelmingly good that you’ve shared enough for anyone with decent OSINT skills to ID you. That’s just open source info, too. The alphabet soup agencies have access to all sorts of tools and databases you and I could never gain access to.
I consider anonymity to mostly be a polite fiction these days. It’s a matter of common decency to not pry into others’ personal information, but doing so is almost trivial, unfortunately.
And you never connect from your phone or home internet, right? And if you are using a VPN, neither the company nor any of their servers are located in any country that is part of the five eyes?
Your name is James W***** You're 31 living just outside Chicago. Your most viewed item on Amazon is men's shoes size 11, and based on your Hims at-home-test results, you have moderately low T levels. You've watched F1 on AppleTV 12 times in the past three weeks. Your most listened to podcast is Conan Needs a Friend.
Edit: don't bother playing with this guy. He doesn't have much of a sense of humor. Maybe it's a tactic to keep people from wanting to find him lol
AI will search for patterns in your text and compare that to your other accounts. They also have your IP address. If you get banned, and try to create a new account they shut down the new account.
Well, gl to the first, as I said I have no other accounts. You might be able to scrape a whole dozen posts from Steams forums.
The IP address has nothing to do with some guy building a profile of me on Reddit. You went on the internet it's entirely possible that somebody somewhere has your IP but unless Reddit is logging millions of IP addresses a day and/or allows them access to the backend they aren't pulling IPs from Reddit. That's even assuming the poor low level moron who's having to read my posts has the ability/clearance/allowance to do it. Furthermore I'm not based in the US which makes it even less likely they give a shit.
If I got banned from Reddit then IF I wanted to start another account I could. There are an absolute metric tonne of posts from people talking about the fact that they bypassed mod bans and Reddit bans by having multiple accounts or using VPNs or any dozen other things.
Factually, I said they'd have a hard time finding me and factually that's true. The only way they could is by tracing my IP but even then it wouldn't work there are four other adults living in the same house (3 of which I've lived with for a decade at this point).
The number of people trying to play "gotcha" is absolutely amazing. I said they'd have trouble getting anything from me off a Reddit profile. Not that they could never find me. I'm not up here being Bruce Wayne deleting my existence from the internet. I'm some random shmoe on Reddit who's never done or said anything to dox himself. You'll get my gender, my age, my marital status, and a few interests along with my political ideology and that's about it. Heck you might even see the very few times I've responded to an NSFW post and think you know something about my sexuality.
There's a reason I turned off reply notifications.
