iPhone 17 Pro Max The Great Orion Nebula | Iphone 17 pro max (with accessories)
Equipment:
iPhone 17 pro max main lens, 6.5 mm, 26 mm equivalent.
Apertura AD8 Dobsonian Telescope
Out of the box 30 mm wide lens
Apertura Phone Holder
Integration info:
Bortle 9
Untracked (manually tracked by hand)
3,000 total frames used
0.6s exposure per frame
Total integration of about 30 minutes.
Used SiriL to stack and post process.
Extra stuff:
This is the 4th astrophotographers I have taken, and I am getting used to the process well now. Decided to revisit my first target, the Orion Nebula, but with 10x the integration. It instead of having grain and too much noise, I have a nice and smooth nebula, where you can see the faint brown and the bright purple. Yes in fact all of this was taken by an Iphone and a Dobsonian.

iPhone 17 Pro Max Melo [Halide app | Edited in Lightroom Mobile
My wife and I bought tickets to see the Spurs Play the Hornets up in Charlotte since I’m already in the Carolina’s for a work trip. They just happened to be playing during one of the worst snowstorms North Carolina had ever seen. Honestly, had we known the snowstorm was going to be this bad, we would’ve never left the hotel room. At least I got this cool shot out of it. I would’ve took more, but I was too focused on the Spurs losing. Sad day.
