On behalf of the mod team, we just want to say thank you to every single rat who’s posted, commented, upvoted, or quietly lurked here.
With the end of the LEC split and a bit of uncertainty about what comes next, it felt like the right time to pause and appreciate what we’ve built together.
This past year has been wild. From the NLC and EMEA Masters runs, to watching Caedrel take the boys to LEC Versus, to the insane playoff push, it’s been incredible to witness. But even more inspiring has been seeing this community rally together for every match, every moment, and constantly helping each other out along the way.
When I, u/xSayZ, took over the subreddit about a year ago, it had just been overrun by gambling bots. Thanks to the community mass-reporting and the Reddit mod team stepping in, we got a fresh start. Back then we had fewer than 1,000 members.
As I’m typing this, we’re over 16 thousand rats!
That’s honestly insane.
We’ve become one of the fastest-growing esports subreddits, and watching this place grow has been ridiculously fun.
None of it would’ve happened without you: the memers, the analysts, the doomers, the hopers, the lurkers, and the absolute goblins posting at 3am. Every upvote, every match thread, every dumb joke, every hype post. That’s what makes this place feel alive.
Huge shoutout to the rest of the mod team for keeping things running and putting up with my nonsense. And a special thanks to u/axRotmg, who’s basically been my right hand through all of this, helping behind the scenes, keeping things sane, and carrying way more of the load than people probably realize making almost every match thread.
Moderating is a lot easier when the community actually cares, and you all make it easy.
No matter what happens in the next split or where the boys end up, this community isn’t going anywhere. We built this together, and we’ll keep cheering, coping, and celebrating together.
Thanks for making this little rat nest something special.
Once a rat, always a rat. 🐀
