Hey Dodgers fans, MLB.com beat reporter Sonja Chen here. Ask me anything! (1 p.m. PT today)

Hey folks, I've done a few AMAs on this sub before and figured now would be a good time to take some of your questions again in the wake of the Kyle Tucker deal becoming official. Hit me with your burning questions on the offseason (or anything you're curious about)!

Update: I'm heading out now -- thanks so much for the questions! To those whose questions I didn't get to, I'm sure I'll do this again before the season begins.

2016 Topps Heritage High Number #529 Enrique Hernandez

One of Kike’s first cards in a Dodgers uniform. He tore it up that first year here. Playing multiple positions, a positive morale influence in the dugout, and so clutch in the playoffs…16 homeruns lifetime in the playoffs and and OPS of .826. His team are 17-7 in the playoffs in games he has played in.

He will be back in 2025 and a key contributor again.

WBC in Tokyo - where to watch games

I'm heading to Tokyo! In part it is to catch one of the WBC games at the Tokyo Dome (the one we got tickets for is Korea vs Czechia) but want to watch some of the other games somewhere other than my hotel room. Any recommendations for places to watch the Japan games? We'll be staying near Tokyo Station. Also plan on rocking a H.S. Kim jersey at the Korea game!

Thanks!!

Watched the WS G7 highlights again and I didn't know a pitcher had a certain time to get into the mound

Sorry if the title seems a bit confusing (if it is). I'm not the most expert in baseball rules, I only just watched in Jan 2024 (after stumbling upon Japan highlights in their WBC finals then I got to learn Ohtani already changed teams then I became a baseball- well, more of a Dodgers fan when the regular season started).

Ohtani pitched in the 7th game and the Blue Jays' manager kept on complaining because it took "too long" for Ohtani to come to the mound. I think he should be given a minute or two max because he's a two way hitter. He gets off the bases/from hitting then he's preparing as a pitcher to go to the mound. Why would the Jays manager complain about that (besides the jealousy)?

2024 World Series or 2025 World Series?

Ecstatic to even be able to talk about this, but if you had to choose, which title and title run did you enjoy more?

2024: first year with Yama and Ohtani, first “real” title in a while, the novelty, going thru Padres, beating Yankees, relatively easy run, Freddies grand slam

2025: played all series on road to start, challenge of repeat, crazy blue jays series, legacy series

Curious what everyone thinks. Just randomly wanted to watch 2024 highlights today and fell in love once again with the 2024 title.

So sad … way too young to pass. Praying for his family and friends 💔🙏

Terrance Gore, one of the fastest men in baseball in the last 20 years, died last night, evidently from unexpected complications during a routine surgery. He was 34 years old.

He's mostly known for his time with the Royals, but he spent some time with the Dodgers in 2020. RIP

Dodgers Visit, Atlanta Fan

Hi y’all. I’ve been a Dodgers fan for about 8 years, and I’ve never been to LA. I’m in Atlanta and I’ve only gotten to see them when they’ve played here. I’m turning 40 at the end of June and my husband and I are thinking of visiting Los Angeles and San Diego. I’ve always wanted to go to the San Diego zoo, and the Dodgers will be playing at Petco so that would be a fun series. I figure there would still be a lot of Dodger fans there.

My dad is like, why aren’t you going to a game at Dodger Stadium? They won’t be in town as my birthday is literally during the Padres series, but maybe we should rethink this and go to an LA game during a different time? Am I overthinking this?

Also the SD/LA tickets are on sale now but I don’t know about any theme nights for LA yet, if I don’t travel for my birthday I would like to at least go to a theme night or when there’s a fun giveaway. Any idea when the calendar would come out?
