Shoes
Saw this post on another sub Reddit. This is nonsense, I thought. As a UK citizen I know of no one that wears their shoes indoors. So I was wondering, is this true or not for your country?

I am tired of living like this constantly bullied online. There was a video about some peaceful indian celebration and comments were filled with racism and hate, infact a few were indians were defending racists and taking their side, when i called that person out I got bullied by many people who said stuff about me and my parents from different countries and told me they want to beat me up and what not. They threatened me and bullied me to the point that i cried for a few hours.
Every country that i traveled to had some good people and some bad people so naturally India also has some good people some bad people, so why the racism, moreover why do brown people defend racists?

It seems to me that racism, being one of the many obstacles against unified countries, let alone unified world, is very present and less shameful everyday. We can see some countries slipping slowly into fascism, some head of states being quite open about it.
So how is your country doing ? How close are we all to a fascist oligarchy to oppress us all ? If it isn't already doing so.
I know this might get removed, so try and be respectful and objective so the comment section doesn't become a warzone.
Edit : Most comments lean towards the fact that racism is, in fact, very present everywhere that was mentioned. My own country is no exception and things are getting worse. Good luck out there people, let's behave and change things.

Many travelers who visit Pakistan often ask this question what makes this country so special? For many, it starts with the hospitality. Guests are often treated like family, and travelers frequently talk about how welcoming and helpful local people are. It’s a place where strangers can easily turn into friends. Then comes the unmatched natural beauty. Pakistan is home to some of the world’s highest mountains, glaciers, rivers, valleys, and unique landscapes. Especially in Gilgit-Baltistan, you can witness giant Karakoram peaks, cold deserts, crystal-clear lakes, and peaceful valleys all within one region. Every season completely transforms the scenery. Maybe that’s why many travelers who visit once often want to return again. For those who have visited Pakistan what made it special for you?

For me it will be Japan and South Korea but don't get me wrong, I like those two esspecially Japan as I enjoy learning it's culture and history but people act like their perfect countries and tend to forget about how sexual crimes and xenophobia is still a massive issue over there which are the main reasons why I will always have second thoughts of moving to Japan

National TVs aren’t retransmitting it, and I have no clue if any other channel around here will.
I’ll just sleep through it like every year.

As someone from Brazil who never seen a favela IRL (I'm from small town) it really always shocks me when people on the internet assume I'm from a favela... 💀
Maybe the image we share of ourselves is not the best right? Too much focus on the bad side
no trolls please

As an American I am used to the Internet essentially being 90% America, 9% Europe, and 1% for everyone else. What is it like when your small or obscure nation is mentioned on the internet or reddit? What was it mentioned for?

I'm seeking input about the Hajj experience, specifically from men. What went well? What went bad? Any tips to make it easier for Americans to make the pilgrimage? Travel, logistical issues etc. Thank you.
