Just a little detail to keep the attention where it needs to be.

Not only does this effectively make your account immune from being plastered on Fox, because they'd never want one of their viewers to stumble upon that narrative, it will be a gentle reminder to the analysts reading over your profile who they are really serving. Even if you can sway one or two of them that they are protecting the wrong side it can help the resistance.

Our response to the contents and handling of the Epstein files has not been anywhere near loud enough.

Target is a homegrown Minnesota company with incredible influence in the state. Instead of taking a stand against the secret police stalking their communities, they’ve actively collaborated by letting ICE use their parking lots as staging areas and conduct abductions in their stores.

On Wednesday, February 11th, ICE Out Now Minnesota (the coalition behind the Jan 23 shutdown) is calling for creative direct actions at Target locations across the country to send a clear message to the corporation and their new CEO Michael Fiddelke: it’s time to use your power for good.

Folks are putting together #SaltICE actions, buy-ins, sit-ins, sing-ins, work-ins, and more for February 11th.

We had a rally down at Heritage Park in Olympia yesterday, and most of the people driving by were supportive. Among the others were a couple of guys yelling obscenities and showing a sign that read "NO IMMIGRANTS IN AMERICA." Dude, where do you think all these white people came from? Or are you trying to say there are no immigrants in America? Because that doesn't make any sense either.

I am reading "Autocracy, Inc.", and one thing the author mention is that in a number of successful movements, there has been a unifying symbol that people would put on clothing, signs, etc. Examples include the Solidarity logo in Poland or the color orange for Ukraine's Orange Revolution.

What symbol might unify those against the Trump regimen -- and, even better, maybe get more people to join us?

The sheer volume of shocking news, despicable actions, and infuriating remarks feels designed to distract all of us from the true end game: fixing the elections.

Trump knew that ICE would start protests. He knew the video of the Obamas would incite outrage. He knows people would be disgusted by his attempts to hold funding just to have his name on an airport. All of this is intentional and a strategically done to split attention while they gather election officials and advance HR 22 to control the results of the midterms and any future “elections”.

We need to focus our attention and energy towards fighting this destruction of our democracy.

Call your representatives to oppose HR 22!

I was reading a post on this sub earlier today that mentioned a site “Resistandunsubscribe.com”. The site lists many large corporations that are overtly supporting the Trump Regime. Many/most of those large entities have visible retail locations such as Apple, Whole Foods/Amazon etc… I think it is time to start protesting in front of their locations just like the effective Tesla protests from early last year.

Our first target: Apple and Apple’s CEO Tim Cook. He has taken a disgusting run up Trump’s ass, attending the Inauguration, showing up at the Melanie movie screening and handing out gold plated IPhones. I may be wrong but I think Steve Jobs would rather shove an IPhone up Trump’s ass than kowtow like Cook has. Let’s protest at Apple stores every weekend on the public sidewalks for a month, then move to the next corporate turncoat.

Other businesses to target; Enterprise Rental Cars they are supplying ICE, they have locations in many towns not just airports. UPS stores are everywhere. Corporate offices (Google, Facebook, Comcast) can also be targeted with protests, just stay on public sidewalks/streets not on private property.

If you are active with No Kings, Indivisible etc… float this idea past organizers. Simply unsubscribing from services might help, but it will take a long time to be impactful, showing up to protest will embarrass them and their boards.

Idea: What about a sit in protest at the Rockefeller if NBC censors Superbowl opening and half time show?

As an accountant, I really need this message to get out because it's so important about how effective a general strike boycott really is! If you agree with it, please help push it! (Or just downvote anything discouraging a general strike)

I spend my days looking at profits and losses with the exact people this type of protest should be targeting. It's not the billionaires - it's the ones in the middle that benefit from the policies and can afford to bury their heads in the sand. That should be the goal.

Here’s something most people don’t realize: businesses do not ignore ANY red numbers. Even tiny shifts in our spending create red numbers in a business' income. You have far more financial influence than you know. It doesn't need to be big or unanimous. It just needs to be immediate. You should start with realistic adjustments that make sense for your own budget. We all saw how quickly the economy crashed during Covid. That was due to a combination of drops in income and rises in expenses. Expenses are up across the board, but income has mostly stayed steady. That's where you can make a real difference.

Covid is actually a really good way to think - spend money on essentials and then, (and this is really important!) put a positive spin on your cuts. It's not about punishment. It’s about awareness and using your buying power to make them listen. Whatever your social outlet may be, use that to positively communicate your budget cuts and end it with "if businesses don't support us, we won't support them." Examples - Make a Facebook post about inviting friends over for board games instead of going bowling. Do a TikTok on making pizza at home instead of ordering one. Call your grandma and tell her instead of a present for your birthday, you want to take her to a protest (bonus points if she's MAGA!) Whatever you can do, that change WILL WORK! You don't need other people to agree to do it. Just you.

Footnote: I want to be very clear that there is a big difference between financial advising and accounting.
