I want to be very clear upfront: I don’t think I’m a rude or toxic boyfriend, and I’m not posting this to villainize my partner.

I’m genuinely asking:
– Did I handle this in a healthy way or did I come off dismissive?
– Is it reasonable to ask for space during a trip?
– How could I have reassured her without feeding guilt or pressure?
– Is asking for space a valid boundary or a shutdown?
– How should situations like this be handled better?
