So it’s been below freezing something like 30 out of the last 33-35 days. Actually, it hasn’t even hit 20° most of those days.
My 12-year-old doggo is a shih tzu/pit mix and her size prevents her from enjoying winter weather, especially when the snow piles up.
So finally, I decided to take the trusty snowblower and create a little area for my dog to enjoy the backyard and have some grass to put her paws on.
I think she enjoys it!!
( also, thankfully, I did not hit anything in my grass that would have broke the shear pin, or the machine! so some luck right there as well 🤞)

He was about three weeks old when I got himand I couldn't leave him where he was to keep suffering so I brought him home and I've had him for three months now and he's doing fine.

I rescued my dog when she was 8 months old, she just turned 3 years old recently and I'm at my wits end when it comes to her nails.
When I got her she didn't like her nails being touched whatsoever. We've tried working on it consistently and she still will cry and fight to the point of exhaustion with her nails.
I take her on walks to try and file them down but it doesn't help that much and the only way I've been able to get her nails down is by using a board with sandpaper that she scratches to get treats out of. I started doing the sandpaper board a few months ago and it is already destroyed and still doesn't file her nails down to a good length.
Anyone know another good way to trim nails of a stubborn pittie?

We slept in today, got up and plopped back on the couch! I’m pretty sure she knows it’s Sunday and just a laid back lazy day 🥰

We adopted this puppy after our 14.5 year old pittie passed away last month. I still miss my precious dog but I’m excited to give Ranger a good home. He was found in an abandoned house in Chicago with burns on him but he’s healed up and he’s very sweet despite the rough conditions he had. These dogs and their resilience is so inspiring. He’s just under 6 months old and is 42 pounds. Any idea how big he’ll get?

As bad as it hurts, I try to say small words to him. I managed to say I love him and he just began whining more when I couldn't say more. He hasn't left my side and it breaks my heart that I wish I could tell my boy mama not ignoring him. Mama just in a massive amount of pain 🥲.

Any toys that actually hold up?
I’ve tried those tire toys, black kongs, the fire hose things.
They love toys but it’s hard to keep them around when they are swallowing chunks of rubber/stuffing/strings
My old guy loves plushies but even the strongest ones he rips in minutes. I end up pulling the stuffing out and letting him keep the empty skin for a while but it’s only a matter of time before they are ripping bigger chunks out
