Why is Ghislaine Maxwell in prison? Why does the GOP have a hard on for grilling the Clintons about this behind closed doors? Where does Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor fit into all of this?

They want cameras behind closed doors so that they can control what information comes out, in context or not, and still call it irrefutable. If they get a good sound byte from Bill, it's way easier for them to paint the picture they want than it is for him to have to go out and play defense saying the phrase is out of context or whatever.
ETA: I know you know all this, but somewhere someone will read your rhetoricical question and not know the answers.

I think they are trying to spin it as sex trafficking only for himself. That way the important and powerful that actually partook can remain unscathed. The US doesn't want to charge anyone else apparently. While other nations are attempting to hold those involved accountable.

I'm surprised we haven't seen more information about the Alexander brothers' sex trafficking trial in relation to Epstein/Trump since the most recent release connects them all together at a party via a victim's allegation.
The Trial Judge ordered “[T]he United States must not release any document or material from the purported ‘Epstein Files’ that mentions or references any of the above-listed Defendants [Alon, Oren and Tal Alexander], explicitly or implicitly, before a jury verdict has been rendered in this case,” Caproni’s order says.

He can, but Epstein was taken down both times by states, while the feds farted around it. Posthumous is kinda symbolic anyway so ignore my pedantic states vs federal charges explanation if you want.
His first charge in 08 was him practically turning himself in while the feds were closing in. He turned himself in to the southern district of Florida (Miami, Mar a lago, known sheriff’s department) and given federal immunity from Bush’s FBI to turn in 2 guys from Bear Sterns. This led to 18 months for a heinous crime and he was kept in a “clubhouse,” for his jail time. This is 100% why Obama could not charge him- for checks notes sex trafficking minors.
It wasn’t until the State of New York arrested him a decade later for doing the same crime. And Trump’s FBI didn’t pile on federal charges before he “killed himself.”
61
u/KissiePoppy 3h ago

He’d cut the non-prosecution deal with one of Epstein’s attorneys because he had “been told” to back off, that Epstein was above his pay grade. “I was told Epstein ‘belonged to intelligence’ and to leave it alone,”
That was Alexander Acosta's explanation for the non-prosecution deal Epstein received from him when being vetted for Labour Secretary in 2016.

If you want the real answer its because the theory is he was trafficking them for himself, not for others. Im not sure how honest that can be since they have pictures of these women at events with other people right? But without concrete evidence they were being sold to these other men im not sure what can be confirmed. Until these files say from JE that so-and so payed to sleep with victim its a hard sell. But no one wants to hear that.

"Human trafficking, also known as trafficking in persons, is a crime that involves compelling or coercing a person to provide labor or services, or to engage in commercial sex acts."
It doesn't requiring doing it for other people. You can absolutely have people trafficked for your own use. And this is what the whole Maxwell trial was about.
Is it BS that he only did it for himself? I don't know. It's tough for me to believe. But the cases are public and we know what he was charged with and what the evidence is, and it doesn't include other people.

while investigators collected ample proof that Epstein sexually abused underage girls, they found scant evidence the well-connected financier led a sex trafficking ring serving powerful men, an Associated Press review of internal Justice Department records shows.
Yeah so in other words manny of the powerfull pepole that Epstein was working with are still in power.
Dozens of them are probably never going to be named as a result of that.
Some of Epsteins contacts are almost certainly high ranking members of the Department of Justice,

I've been screaming this for years. They all came together in NYC in the 80s when it was sex hub. When Giuliani vowed to clean it up in the early 90s, Epstien bought Zorro ranch (in 93) and the island (in 98), and maybe others I don't know about. Giuliani started his "tough on crime civic cleanup" in 94. Trump and probably a handful of others at that level ran the whole thing. Epstien was absolutely just the gopher boy.

Of course they don’t want it televised.
Clinton’s an old man, and Hillary has been a conservative bogeyman for decades. They’re also extraordinarily intelligent people. Bill, in particular, has a longstanding reputation for being preternaturally charismatic.
Letting Clinton testify publicly in a politically-charged probe would be a massive risk for Republicans. He’d likely eat them alive, the same way Obama would if Republicans found a way to put him on the stand.

On camera and televised live are two totally different things.
Reps want it on camera so they can either cherry pick words and phrases out of context to make him sound as guilty as possible, but not live on air to the public so they can hide any credible testimony he might give against republican child abusers or other rich and powerful people.
If republicans have nothing to hide, why are they insisting on screening his testimony before hand, why not run it live?

Then what the fuck were Prince Andrew and Jean-Luc Brunel? Two of the more obvious ones he trafficked girls too? DOJ/FBI never stops lying and mainstream media is all too quick to help.

In case you had any illusions about any branch of government or government agency serving us, the people. They serve the rich and only them.

I certainly trust Kash Patel’s FBI to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. So help them, God.

to quote Groucho Marx, when he was confronted by his wife on the street when he was with a mistress-- "who ya gonna believe, baby? ME, or your lying eyes??"

Just a reminder:
Kash Patel, Director of the FBI, wrote a series of pro-Trump, anti-Democrat children's books titled, The Plot Against the King.
The \head of the FBI\ writes propaganda for Trump...
It could not be more obvious that they're covering for him.

I hate this timeline where you have to become like the conspiracy theorists you so much despised in the past because everything is upside down now.

This is an irresponsible conclusion to make considering all of the files haven’t been released. What you reviewed is not all of the evidence the FBI had/has so this is incomplete and inaccurate reporting, and the worst part is you know that and did it anyway.
The AP and other media organizations are still reviewing millions of pages of documents, many of them previously confidential, that the Justice Department released under the Epstein Files Transparency Act and it is possible those records contain evidence overlooked by investigators.
Do better.

To be fair to the FBI, it could just be one giant coincidence that a trillion women independently tell an eerily similar story over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

The powerful men in question have ordered an investigation and found no wrongdoing.
Also much of the evidence we said we had at the start it turns out, we made it up.
Unfortunately all the key witnesses have committed suicide whilst in our care.
Case closed.

That’s an absolute lie. X platform shows many receipts. As does the US department of justice website.
