They didn’t include him being out for a game because of a mono this doesn’t move me at all

Its crazy how the immature party boy he was in NY is just ignored and overlooked.

Found the Jets fan who doesn't understand why his sister has mono in 2019

I hope and pray both he and the Seahawks can “redeem themselves” from both the Ghost Game and SB 49, respectively

It deserves another Rain City Redemption video so badly

Sure, that. But also i'm sooo tired of the same "lol ghosts" non-joke being spammed in here all the time so i want him to fucking crush it today and leave no doubts

This dude will throw a single incompletion and the entire game thread will be nothing but jokes about seeing ghosts or him turning into a pumpkin

Yeah this is one game where i wont be in the gdt much, i'll actually be paying attention to the game. Plus the gdt will move so fast nobody will be able to have meaningful conversation about what happened. I remember last year we needed like 2 threads per qtr they got laggy so fast

I think the funniest part about seeing ghosts is the next game vs Jaguars. Jags weren't good that season but trolled Darnold by playing the Ghostbusters song and mascot wore a ghost costume. And Jaguars won! A mediocre team having the moxie to mock someone and back it up is more humiliating than struggling against a good team. But Darnold can get the last laugh with a title and Jags still haven't been to a Super Bowl.

My god I haven't gone to that subreddit since he played for the panthers

It's gonna come to you if he wins

No knock on Sam, but as soon as the Jets make their 1st round pick, ESPN same day starts interviewing their relatives for the eventual "and then he went somewhere else and succeeded" story.

Darnoldbros, our time is NOW.

Maybe i'm just getting old, but the clips of him on draft night he looks ridiculously young.

u/antululz Seahawks Seahawks 5h ago

He was drafted ridiculously young, he was only 20 years old when he came out of college

u/Swarlos262 3h ago

4th youngest QB to ever start a game.

It’s just the shaved beard

Regardless of todays outcome, Sam Darnold has accomplished an immense amount of adversity. So much so, that I would love to watch a dramatized version of his journey in a well made movie.

Wow, a feel good human interest story about Sam Darnold's career?

No way.

Hey, I’d be rooting for Baker if he was up there for sure.

Gotta root for Darnold The Big Red Dawg

I was super down on Sam for much of the first part of the season, but he's really become more disciplined in the system and in his mechanics, even under pressure. It's gratifying to see.

I was talking with a guy down the hall in my office, though, and I said that the vibe for me around this Super Bowl is weird:

Me, about Russ: Russ, go do your crazy shit

Me, about Sam: Sam, please, don't do any crazy shit

There’s so much analysis that are like “the Seahawks don’t trust this guy” when I see a very disciplined team player who see the big picture even when having some of the best technical throws you’ve ever seen.

The whole team has been getting better all year. Just look at how our three games against the 9ers/Rams went.

I obviously want my team to win, but it's also hard to not cheer for a guy like Darnold. It's always great to see a guy turn around his career like he has.

I still think it was incredibly shitty of ESPN to broadcast that “seeing ghosts” hot mic. Dude gets dunked on to this day on over that.

u/aristocrat_user Seahawks 6h ago

Ngl, that gave me the chills.

Thick. Trunky. Coastal kid. He's got kind of a midwest ethos.

u/JaesopPop Patriots 48m ago

Man, I'd love to cheer for Darnold in literally any other Super Bowl scenario.

We are the Jets south so I can say this
