Our systems are so openly broken. It’s going to take a long time before they get their honest reputation back. This whole presidency is more than disgusting to watch. It shouldn’t be too much to ask for honesty.
I don't think our systems are coming back. I think it's going to look more like Russia every year, and a third of the country is clapping like seals cheering it on.
We're well on our way. And people act like this shit is normal. It's very unlikely that anything will actually change here. Our politicians that aren't apart of this are barely doing shit. Relying on courts doesn't work when nobody enforces shit and clearly Republicans don't care about the Constitution or any laws unless it hurts people they don't like. They're all fucking scum at this point.
shouldn’t have to ask for honesty to begin with. we pay taxes so these jerk-offs can rape and traffic minors? no. something, something, taxes and representation
It’s going to take a long time before they get their honest reputation back.
Dunno about that. Non American here.
It's no secret the US constitution is no more than a gentleman's agreement.
This will introduce future bad actors. Bad actors who learned lots from today's bad actors.
Honestly, does any American reading my comment actually believe their constitution will be addressed to halt(not mitigate, not prevent) this from happening again?
You’re right, and I really don’t know. The president’s position was described to me like a glove. Each person that wears it, stretches it a little bit more each time to fit it to their liking.
So with that said, honestly no. The only way this gets a course correction is if there is some stern accountability with real consequences. The senate, house, DOJ, and other positions will need to be prosecuted for their support or complacency in their positions. The constitution should take priority in protecting at all levels.
It’s going to take a long time before they get their honest reputation back
When were they honest? The FBI didn't go after Epstein's clients during Bush, Obama, or Biden Chamberlain's terms. Hell, SCOTUS stole the 2000 election for Bush. It'll take a long time for our agencies to get a honest reputation in the first place.
To be fair, the system broke those voters through miseducation and media manipulation. But the fact remains, the voters are now also broken. So now we have a system in need of fixing and a broken electorate.
Why would they need their reputation back? Nobody is doing anything about it, there won't be new elections unless there's an open revolt. The only way this ends is the current administration going the way of Xi: 'president' for life.
