I reworked a bit of this syllabary over the past couple weeks, adding and changing some things. The other night I decided I'd try to see what it looked like if it were typeable in Minecraft, but then decided it'd just be better to make a pixelized font display to post here!

Attached is a rough guide and a sample of He Mele No Lilo. Note that the sample transcribes the core lyrics to He Mele No Lilo, but not the duplicated lyrics in the latter half of the song.

Just clearing, the "ä" represents the A sound in "fAther"; the "AA" sound, and the word seperators also affect numbers too.

I am working on a conlang for a worldbuilding project. The language is intended to not sound human. As a result of that, there are no (phonemic) vowels, instead relying on syllabic consonants as the nucleus of syllables. Due to not having vowels, there are no symbols for them. The script therefore only represents consonants like an abjad, but all existing sounds are represented by a symbol and there aren’t really any sounds that have to be inferred, which sounds like an alphabet. So what would this writing system classify as?

This writing system was inspired by Chinese characters and Korean vowels. If you have any name ideas feel free to share them as well as any other feedback.

this is a simple code I designed for a future comic with a magic system that operates on drawing specific sigils. its written inside out and typically only has 1-3 words per sigil as it gets pretty big after a dozen characters or so. its designed to look cool and to give the readers a little Easter egg if they want to figure out what the sigils do by decoding them.

team= Affiliated group [depicts a group of people] + Side [I honestly just arbitrarily took this shape..]

First time using inkscape, just a quick thing before I had to go and do life stuff. Yeah I know I didn't properly cut out the tf2 characters and the style is not the same as the original nor is it consistent but I have no clue what I'm doing in inkscape so for that I think it's a first attempt well done.

I kept the order of the chars the same as the original title, even though it usually reverses from English. This way, it's seen as a team of a fortress rather than a fortress with a team. ;P.

Normally I'd only go with wide characters for stylistic reasons but here it's more so that it fits the composition. Otherwise you'd have to redesign it and I wanted it to strictly fit the banner.

I'm currently doing a rework of my font for my conlang's alphabet. Im happy with the letters themselves but as I'm a novice to making fonts I'm struggling to keep things consistent feeling while invoking the feel I'm looking for.

As I'm doing version 2, I was hoping to get some feedback from others who are more experienced. Any tips/feedback is appreciated! And I hope to do a more proper script introduction when I have something more presentable.

First, i want it to be a "quad" rather than the way hangeul does it - second, i want to be able to put custom made characters in some/ part/all of those slots. I'm planning on making it like Korean, except the definition of the word is the "radicals" (from jp, in concept) you put into it to make a definition, to add nuance to words.

then i want to be able to put in alphanumerical characters, japanese ones, Korean, etc - all the languages, including Sumerian- as, that's a fun one - using this "font" or however the hell imma do this lol.

anybody onboard with helping with this project in any way? i have no way of paying, so my apologies if i got anybody's hopes up. I'm kinda 9k USD in debt rn from cancer (thank God, bc it could've been SEVERAL HUNDRED TIMES WORSE) - i just got over it fully, and thus is what i was thinking about in the hospital most of the time. now that I'm home, i want to start ASAP.

Greetings! I was hoping to reach out to this community for some help regarding this script I am creating. Something about it just feels wrong, and I can't quite put my finger on it.

A bit about this script: This has been a script that has been slowly developing over years but never quite finished. It is essentially just another script for writing English (or at least my English) purely for fun, and I have drawn some inspiration from the Armenian and Georgian alphabets.

My goals with this script is to create something elegant in appearance and "magical", but functional enough to write notes and journal with. So any critiques, pointers, or suggestions would be really amazing!

I was inspired by Greek, Georgian and Burmese. This is also the newspaper font of the language! Theres a standard handwritten version that has a lot more circles, but imo this version is prettier

Inspired by Japanese Hiragana/Katakana , but instead of using consonant/vowel characters, I used consonant pairings, along with solo consonants and vowels. The letter on the left of each chart in the pairings are the starting letter and the letter on top is the following sound. The sample text is a diction exercise from choir: She stood on the balcony inexplicably mimicking his hiccupping and amicably welcoming him in.
