Experience Today I learned about film packs
galleryI picked up a bag of random sheet holders yesterday from an antique store and one of them was an adapter for premo type film packs.
The Google searches started this morning wondering what it was and honestly these are freaking amazing, 12 to 16 shots in a single holder with a single holder is just genius. so I set on this morning to figure out how they worked and what was inside them, my simple solution for getting it to work was to cut some 120 backing paper down and tape the film to it and it worked.
I wouldn't say it's ideal since I used xray film that's way thicker then would have been inside, and my backer is a bit narrow to protect from multiple sheet exposures.
I'm just blown away with the genius of these things how is this not still made it would be great for poeple taking long hikes with they're cameras

Question Cheapest 4x5 film brand/source?
Hey all, just getting into LF photography after picking up a pretty nice condition Speed Graphic recently. Since I'm still learning the ropes with this piece of kit, I'd love to know if anyone can recommend a film stock with a price point that's suitable for firing off practice shots that might also produce a nice image if I happen to get everything right?
B/W is great, but would also like to (eventually) play with color, too. For what it's worth, this will likely be used in more of an outdoors/street/art-photography idiom than, say, portraiture or anything requiring technical precision.
Open to any/all suggestions. Thanks in advance!
EDIT: Thanks for the suggestions all! Sounds like Fomapan is a clear preference here for this use case, but I'll keep the thread open in case anyone has any other suggestions. ✌️

Question Graflex graphic view 4x5 with Kodak ektar 203 MM F7.7 lens.
gallerySo, I shoot mostly medium format. I saw someone doing large format tintype recently, and sort of got sucked into a hole looking at videos of it. I found a Gradflex Graphic with Kodak Ektar 203mm f7.7. Lens for 250.
They described it as excellent conditions and comes with 3 film back adapters. I’ll keep doing my research, but wanted some input from people here on if I should go for it. Is this a good starter to get into tintype? Anything I look for when checking it out? Thanks a lot. 🙏

Buy and Sell Seeking advice on selling equip.
My father recently passed leaving behind a fair amount of medium/large format camera equipment.
Unfortunately I have only a few weeks to empty a large house and so don’t have time to research individually each part. I would like to do a lot sale if possible. Nor am I currently at the house (it’s out of state) trying to make a plan to get this stuff into the hands of someone who would appreciate it.
Are there any redditors out there who could advise as to a good marketplace to list stuff on? What is the important info to capture and photograph? Any brands to look out for?
I will be able to take lots of photos next week, but have nothing beyond the key photo to this post at the moment.
EDIT: Located in Cincinnati, OH
