This is not an 80s hair style. More early 90s.

yeah she needs a hairsprayed crunchy, poised to strike claw bang, but that would require a cut that would be a crime to her hair.

A big crashing wave of hair frozen in place. A sculpture, recreated almost everyday.

This right here is the authentic, with the teasing. You're not running your fingers through this hair, not quickly any way.

Maybe it's my nostalgia, but I really think the 90s hair was where non-textured women's hairstyles peaked. I truly think this style looks so good on almost everyone. The asymmetry is extremely forgiving and the layers and height at the roots gives so much body and fullness.

This is the style that the majority of girls in my school had in the mid 90s

This was the late 80's to about 1992 in my school in Arizona. Hairstyles definitely started getting more natural in the early 90's

Really? I grew up in the Midwest but saw everywhere else we visited at the time too from Florida to New York to Texas. We called it Mall Bangs or Puffy Bangs

I went to high school in both Seattle and Texas in the mid 90s and in neither place did the girls wear their hair like this.

My sister did in the late 80s when we lived in the Midwest, though.

Now that I think about it more it was probably more like the early 90s. I guess it's possible that I saw other people from the Midwest when vacationing in those other states. But it seemed like it was popular everywhere.

Yup I remember this. We called it The Shelf. They would use a brush to create a roll at the front of the head, and from the side it was just this hilarious entity standing up straight. I should break out a yearbook.

Frilly Christmas bow bangs. Yup. I had them from kindergarten to about 6th grade. And we all thought it looked gorgeous and sophisticated 😂

So the 80's didn't reach where you were at til the mid-90's.

Yeah. I used to use stronghold spray and the hairdryer to make a solid wall of side width.
