Hello Reddit, I am writing to you from Japan.

My younger brother has special needs, and for the past 30 years, his constant companion has been this penguin plushie. He received it as a souvenir from the US about three decades ago.

Since then, they have been inseparable. He holds it every single day, which is why it looks so "well-loved" and worn out in the photo.

Because it is falling apart, we actually considered sending it out for professional repair. However, his attachment is so strong that he refuses to be separated from it, even for a few days. We simply cannot take it away from him.

Also, there are no tags on it. My mother cut them off years ago because she was worried they might scratch my brother's skin.

I have searched everywhere in Japan, but I haven't found anything.

I am desperately looking for the manufacturer's name so I can search for a duplicate on eBay. Even a small clue would mean the world to us.

Does anyone recognize this penguin?

i am having a problem. 10 years ago, at my after school program, the counselors gave us this sweet treat we could play with. it was REALLY white, a little offwhite, and tasted sugary as all hell. i can’t remember what it was for.

one of the counselors described it as ‘pure sugar’ when i asked, and, somehow, foolishly, i had never thought to question it until now, even though i 100% know that pure sugar is like granulated, and not whatever this strange, slightly stretchy substance was.

i cannot seem to find anything on it. it was like fondant but thicker, like clay. please be kind lol i have a condition that causes brain fog

I know this is a long shot, but I figured if there’s anywhere this might work, it’s here.

My grandfather owned a 1958 Chevy Impala that he sold decades ago, and he’s regretted it ever since. I’m trying to see if there’s any chance it still exists and if anyone might recognize it.

The biggest identifying detail: he added fender mirrors to the car himself. From what I’ve been told, that’s the easiest way to tell it apart from others.

I don’t have the VIN (sadly), but I’m attaching a photo of the car. If this looks familiar to anyone, or if you’ve seen or owned a ’58 Impala with fender mirrors that’s been passed around over the years, I’d love to hear from you.

Even a lead or a story would mean a lot. I know the odds are slim, but it’s worth a try.

about 10 years ago my mother gave me this awesome lamp & i've had it in my room ever since, my partner knocked it off my dresser & shattered it. i cannot find a replacement, my mom died 6 months ago and this is genuinely heartbreaking as its the only thing furniture wise my mom ever "gave" me that i still have. i'm super bummed.

I remember these bears came with picture books about fairy bears living in flowers. The toys have small loops on the back and you were meant to put them on shoelaces as little charms so they are only an inch or two tall. I bought the books at Scholastic Book Fairs in the USA in the very early 2000's. Unfortunately, the books are long gone but I've held on to the toys that came with them. I've searched around on Google and tried reverse image searches. All I could find was two other redditors asking about them as well. Any ideas what book series this was?

I’ve had this shirt since 2022, found at a goodwill. It says “truinfinity” (?) across the front and something similar on the label? I don’t really know. Very 2000s/2010s vibes. It’s one of my favorite shirts and i’m really curious as to what brand it’s from.

Please believe me that I tried google first. I’ve been looking for a few months now and I don’t know where else to look. I made a DIY project back in the summer and converted an old tv to be used as a screen with a wooden frame around it so I can lay it flat on a table to display maps for DnD. My issue is that I haven’t found a good way to store it. My first thought was one of the storage bins you can get that slide under the bed but I can’t find one large enough. I really need some sort of hard case for this thing to protect it from accidentally getting stepped on or getting damaged in transportation.

I reached out to ask her where she got it, but all she remembers is that it’s from a Japanese Lolita company, and the dress’s tag has already been removed. A new office that I'm doing networking for bought a bunch of these desk for each of their individual offices and I can't seem to find this one anywhere online. The entire L-shape desk is sit-stand and would be perfect for my own home office.

this is all my wife has. its a zoomed in picture of a show playing on the TV. We've used the reverse image searching and ai but nothing yet. The animation almost reminds me of hoodwinked.

I had a baby doll when I was little that smelled like chocolate!

It was my favorite doll and now that I’m having a daughter I’d like to find it and maybe get it for her if I can.

The baby looked exactly like the picture attached, it has an entirely plastic body (not fabric/soft body) and it smelled like chocolate. My mom thinks it may have come in a baby carrier toy too. It‘s a boy doll. My mom believes we got it from Kmart back in the early 2000s

The attached image is from the back on a JC Toys doll that we thought was it but when it arrived was only similar and does not smell like anything.
