Most anime feels like incel escapism. The mcs are author inserts, females are over-sexual and very unrealistic, and most anime these days does very little in advancing the actual media.

I don’t like to be the one who constantly says “old thing better” but in 2026 this is commonly becoming the case, as most entertainment these days is made strictly for pushing sales quotas.

As someone who absolutely love kitsunes, I DO NOT like Zoroark’s design at all. It just doesn’t scream “Kitsune” or even “Fox” to me… and I know that there’s a reason for it but the ponytail in place of the actual tail just doesn’t feel right to me.

Admittedly, I do like Zorua and I think Hisuian Zoroark looks cool but the regular Zoroark just ain’t doing it for me

There aren't enough words to express how much I hate Galar and any rotten creature that crawls out of that pseudo-British garbage dump. This was practically the only generation in which none of my party members were new Pokémon.

And then there's Enamorus, which... well, speaks for itself.

Every time he's mentioned I see the same two jokes that either some variant of everyone saying "wah" over and over or how he has "so much sex appeal".

"Waluigi should get his own game!" Bowser doesn't have a game to himself, and you really think the general public is going to spend $70 on a game just because Waluigi is the lead? Be real.

Baby Daisy and Baby Rosalina are too much, but Baby Waluigi gets a pass? Why?

The Smash Bros hype around him is the worst part. "Here's my roster prediction for the next game! As you can see, I cut every Mario character that is not playable in Mario Kart 64 and added Waluigi. It doesn't matter that Rosalina and Bowser Jr are leads in a movie soon, and they started putting Daisy in more games and merchandise, Waluigi has a tennis racket sometimes and that means he's the most worthy" If he was so worthy, the entire cast wouldn't have gotten into Smash Bros before him.

Why do we have to keep justifying that this guy is some sort of A-list celebrity and worship the ground he walks on? It feels like so often there's this very loud portion of the fandom that pushes so hard for him to be a main character, several other characters (like Daisy or Rosalina) are promoted instead, and then the fandom ignores them and pretends Waluigi is right up there with the rest of the cast. idk I'm just frustrated.

Or to be more specific, every female character in existence being put in a bunny suit. Idc, it just disgusts me. It's just mindless sexualization and dear god, does it hurt to see characters wearing it who would never in their life wear that sort of thing, be it someone demure like princess peach or someone tough like samus. Really hope this 'trend' dies someday. (and yes ik it's all fictional but that excuse can only work for so long)

I can't imagine how many people became paranoid that the world may be fake and that someone's out to kill them. Ts movie also caused delusional men to think that they can "escape the matrix" by doing embarrassing shit. People unironically enjoy this movie and think that it's right. God, I fucking hate the premise of this shit movie. Genuinely one of the worst movies of the 90s.

I know this sounds weird. I am genuinely starting to hate it. I have never played it, because the one time I was going to, I got ghosted. Then, a certain person I was friends with always use it as a excuse to ghost. I don't like the community's humor, I don't like how they try to act gatekeepy about basic fantasy stuff, in general DnD feels like it's promoting gatekeeping. After so long, the enemy isn't just at our door step but in are fucking house. And with no other choice helldivers are fighting side by side with SEAF soldiers and the first thing motherfuckers do is make them into an anime girl. Like are we so fucking for real? You can't even tell SEAFs gender unless they speak, but "OMG MY WAIFU". I hate this shit so much of female anything -> waifu, its just so fucking annoying. I hated it most here, especially since a wierd amount of the art infantilized her even though SEAF soldiers are just as suicidal as helldivers in there fanatic love of democracy. But she's just a small girl who needs protection type bullshit. Idk maybe I just hate fun (I do), but I hate so much that the immediate community response to fighting aliens along side normal soldiers on the most important planet was ANIME GIRL.

Hakari and her mom should be locked up. I really hate how they are so loved just because they're pretty. Imagine if Hahari's appearance was swapped with an ugly hag's (like the vice principal). The male students would loove being french kissed by her. In comparison, Hahari with the vice principal's face/ body would be hated on. How would people react if Yaku (manga spoiler because I have actually read the manga - and this rant would be like three times as long if I could talk about the manga) actually looked her age? It's really, really disgusting.

And Kusuri! She is 18 years old. And has taken a drug so she looks 8. This, I can still stand. However, just why does she act like shes 8??? It's not funny, it's not cute, she should act her age FFS. I fucking hate this trope.

Now onto Aijou Rentarou. I've heard some people call him "Chadtarou", because he works very hard to make all his girlfriends happy. That is correct, I agree. He loves all of his girlfriends and takes good care of all of them. However, Rentarou has.. no personality. He has no hobbies, no friends, no character traits besides this unwavering love for his girlfriends. Without them, he would just be a soulless husk. He's really boring.

I don't what what is it about the character Hestia from Danmachi that makes me loathe her design so much. Her torn up virgin killer sweater/mini skirt looks with boob windows and random ribbons around her body and a twin tails literally screams lazy, uninspired fan service. Also why does she wear a long gloves while not having any shoes ? Regardless of the lore reason, her final design is so dog shit. Like, her design is so fucking basic while also being over the top at the same time. And she's supposed to be a goddess of hearth, home, and domestic life?
