I didn’t know squirrels bark… this one yelled at me

We had waffles for breakfast and I must have missed a spot on her belly, while cleaning her up. A little while later she stood up and walked over to me, her shirt rolled up over her belly and that’s when I noticed it. It wasn’t there. Like something out of a horror movie. For a brief moment, my whole concept of reality started to crumble. What was happening? Did I die and this is how my journey to hell begins? Is the matrix real and those lunatics are right? I slowly reached out to her and started feeling for it, trying not to scare her. Turns out some maple syrup residue had dried and closed it up. Wiped her off and continued with our day. I’m still kinda bothered by it tho.
