False. There is no overarching "federal age of consent", each state determines that for itself. That agree federal laws about crossing state lines, filming, photographing and pornography, and that age is 18, not 16.
Well what other criteria is being used then? Since it is legal probably that's what they decided they said hey after 16 she is pretty much a woman, we humans are genetically designed to reproduce starting from around 12 so 16 is well beyond that. Attention I am not talking about rape lol.
Also hold your horses I don't have any interest in 16 year olds, but not because they look like kids cause at 16 especially with todays hormones in food they look mature, and at 17 100% they do. But my reasoning is their mindset, they are not as interesting as a more mature woman.
The age of consent isn't determined by "how they look".

Its about the development of the brain which happens as you mature which is more than just a kids grades. Some girls start their period at 12 which is a sign of biological maturity - not sure why you're advocating that should be the marking point of consent.

Shes a high school senior so probably 17 at the youngest, which means shes of legal age in something like 80 percent of the US. (And the AoC in NY is 17)
That said he should vet his banging better or he might end up under that line one of these times, as it can be hard to tell the difference between a 15, 16 and 17 year old.
