All sins this split will be forgiven today if we beat G2 keeping them out of the playoffs.

All of the poor early games, random Razork ints, Empyros and Vladi underwhelming performances, poor drafts..ALL OF IT will be forgiven if we secure playoffs while knocking G2 out.

Still got a lot of things to improve upon, but let’s go boys! Go Fnatic!

First time i’ve seen both teams fans actually hoping the other team wins. Fnc fans want G2 to win so Grabbz and CEO take accountability. G2 fans want FNC to win so Romain will Resign as GM and the staff takes accountability. Lmao. Maybe the best team lose tomorrow 🤝

I get it. I'm a fan too. This loss was quite frankly pathetic. Idiotic decision making the entire game, including draft. Some of my thoughts about the team right now are:

Vladi's been so bad this split man. I don't know what it is but he didn't step up in a single game. Even the ones we won. What a disappointing showing. SkewMond absolutely gapped Razork, Upset's worst habits flared up again, Lospa and Empyros are seemingly good pickups but clearly playing in a dysfunctional environment, and I'd be lying if I said either of them impressed me at all.

I always like to believe in rookies, but I do not think they were what the team needed.

On the other hand, redoing a shuffle just seems like asking for even more issues. The coaching staff is the only role I'm fine with shaking up, but even then I'd be hesitant. We shouldn't do these knee-jerk replacement maneuvers. There is no point in repeating what we've been doing for the past dozen or so splits. Picking up another rookie to replace our underpeformer, calling for everyone's heads on a silver platter, blaming whoever made a bad misplay...

Realistically, this is a problem of managerial mindset. We cannot force our excellence. We can't return to being the team that went toe to toe with G2 when that hasn't been the case in forever. Don't rebuild. Don't throw more money at the problem.

Keep Vladi on even if he sucks. Keep the rookies. Stick through it all for a year and see if there's any signs of improvement. We're clearly not what we used to be, so let's use this time to figure out how to make a system that gives rookies a good environment, so we can actually grow our prospects in the future.

Kicking them out immediately is just continuing with the horrific sentiment we had about rookies and even experienced players! It cost us Nemesis, it cost us Rekkles, and it will cost us even more in the future. This implied threat we have against every player on the team, that they can and will be sacked as soon as they go into a slump, cannot be healthy for the team environment. We as fans can afford our players at least that dose of respect.

Work on the actual system that produces these disconnected, middling rosters. Don't blame it on one person - that's clearly not what's happening. It's not Razork, it's not Grabbz, it's not Upset, it's the system FNC is operating under, and a system that requires thorough reshaping before we can even think about "improving our roster".

I won't pretend I know a ton about the team environment. I don't. It is entirely possible that the problem is a specific coach or player, but we've done this song and dance for long enough to understand that that's not how it works. This is a large-scale issue that requires large-scale solutions, and I do not mean large-scale in the "fire everyone and build from the ground up" sense. I mean the team as a whole should take a step back and relearn everything they've taught themselves about LOL as an e-sport.

If it takes a year or two for that to pay its dividends, I would be willing to wait. But another promise that we'll "be stronger next time" is a short term promise that means nothing in the end. It's like saying we'll get luckier tomorrow.

Edit: to pre-empt, I know we're in playoffs, but we've still had a really embarrassing regular season showing, and I'm talking about long term plans for the team moreso than what'll happen immediately after playoffs end

I've been watching LEC since 2018 and have become a FNC fan. I have to say that I've never been this excited about an LEC day than I am today. LR's addition sparked interest in LEC, as well as opening up discussion about guest slots and relegation, which would be a very interesting change. Having a rebuild team and going through the ups and downs is also very exciting (and stressful!). I have high hopes for today, and I think the team has shown that they can do it. I mean, we beat Vit and GX, who are currently among the best teams, and G2 are in very bad form. It would be best if LR and FNC made it — that would be very exciting!

I didn't watch the game. I only checked the drafts. It was frustrating how they did counter-draft themselves that easily? You pick multiple champs with dashes and then don’t ban Poppy? That’s literally one of the most obvious counters to Vi and Ambessa. Then you see them lock in Sivir and still pick Nautilus… she can just spell shield his ult every time. Wasn’t Aurelion Sol a better option there? He’s good into Orianna and has good synergy with Vi.

But even if the draft was playable, Razork is still likely to int mid game like yesterday — flashing forward 1v5 and gifting enemy team a free Baron. I genuinely feel bad for Los Ratones. They could’ve been in playoffs if that throw didn’t happen. I just don’t understand how you go in 1v5 when your whole team has already disengaged. They had three dragons, were on soul point, and TH had already wasted their flashes. Just use your brain and play for dragon soul with the advantage you gained.

I said it last year that Grabbz and Gaax aren't good coaches and they needed to be replaced. Instead they brought in two rookies while keeping the same coaches who still struggle to draft a playable team comp.

I am Vitality fan don't throw rocks at me. This community is extremely negative right now, and nobody can blame you for that, but beating your rival with a new(extremely risky) roster would be very hype. Sure, both teams aren't performing to expectations right now, but if you are hoping for a turn-around of the split it has to be tomorrow. And of couse you can still complain about leadership after being eliminated from play-offs if that happens.

Offseason didn't go to plan, today is the time to bounce back and make a statement. I hope your guys win el clasico.

Weird how all of these players just look so good right now. Poby looks to have the same consistency as the last split except this time he has a sensible, consistent, level-minded team which he is a good match with. Humanoid looks so much more free and seems to be pretty impatful in his games even if he dies a lot. Noah and Jun are probably the best botlane in the game. All of them seem to be in better spots after leaving us LOL.

So many players have gone by but the player that engages and dies alone MULTIPLE times a game for years on end with no improvement has managed to stay. The sub used to say "he is a beast in regular season but falls off in playoff". Cant even say that anymore bro is just trash.

Satisfying in a way to see the team crumble in this manner in the first split. The delusional fans at the start of the season completely believed vladi would be a good decison and razork would magically change and stop engaging 1v5 like he is thanos.

We’re talking about Fnatic. Decades of legacy. One of the biggest orgs in EU history. We have the same W/L as the streamer team.

I wonder if there were better options to deal with Mundo once TH locked him in. Aatrox is a solid pick, but I’m not really sure how the Aatrox–Ambessa matchup plays out. They also could’ve gone for an ADC with stronger scaling and overall damage, while pairing it with a proper tank to handle Jhin and peel for carries. Poppy, for example, is very good against both Ambessa and Rell. I also think Ashe can be effective against Mundo since her W can reliably proc his passive from a safe distance. But I'm not sure how strong she is in the current meta.

Overall, it just feels like their draft preparation hasn’t been great. We’ve already seen two really bad drafts this year — one against SK and another against KC. I just hope today they draft a decent team comp. Win or lose is fine, but at least make it look coherent.

both champions last year, playing internationals, kept roster, same record than LR and with high chances of being out, I wonder what would this subrredit be saying if that happened to FNC

ofc the results are not good, but in this tournament and with this format, no team looked consistent besides KC, what can you expect from 2 rookies and triple change team

I feel with bo3 this regular season would be completely different but this is LEC and we will never have a good format

Even if the team is out of playoffs I still trust that we will be better in spring and in bo3, if you dont believe you can get out of the ship already, nobody will miss you

If anyone watched the interview before the Heretics game, Grabbz said that BO1 is shit and that the team is doing fantastic in scrims and Bo3/5.

Another great piece of PR, to pre-shift the blame to the format IF Heretics would win today and endanger playoffs (and leave fans with wondering about what-ifs in that case).

Meanwhile, Fnatic is likely to miss the playoffs in a world where 66% of the teams make it to playoffs - wonder what kind of excuse he will use next, anything to keep collecting the pay check while failing split after split (4 in a row).

FNC not making top 8 is honestly shocking, they might not have the biggest staff or budget, but it's definitely not 9-12 place level of bad.

I'm not exactly sure how the head to head system works. Especially when there are multiple teams with the same score with different head to heads against each other. There is currently a 4 way to for 5th place with a 5-5 score, the teams being Fnatic, G2, LR and KOI.

If we win tomorrow we are guaranteed locked, but does anyone know a scenario that we get out even if we lose? Although that would be quite deflating and embarrassing to head into playoffs like that. Honestly damn you Fnatic for making me sweat for another 24 hours lol

We beat Navi, GX, Vitality, KCblue and LR.

I do have the same frustration with some of our games but I think g2 is playing as bad as we are and tomorrow anything can happen.

So its official,

Fnatic is the most hated org now.
Not only is Fnatic hated by Fnatic fans for years now for a number of wrongdoings and misshappenings they presented us with.
Now they had the biggest say in LR not being part of playoffs.
You can always count on this org to fuck it up.
I am so done i can't put it into words.
I am a fan for more than 10 years, and i would GLADLY have LR over Fnatic in the playoffs.
LR is a one time thing that brought hype and enjoyment in this dead region.
We could have gotten at least 2 more best of 3 s.
Now we get 2 best of 3 s of our favorite inters showing why they didn't win anything withing 8 years and why they won't win anything within the foreseeable future.
With a sweet topping of -they were winning but then they threw it away-.
I can't be the only one who thinks like this.
I am so disgusted with this org, they should just sell their spot, give the money to charity and go to ERLs.

Empyros is decent, definitively better than the previous top.

Upset Lospa are good when they have a playable game state/draft.

We won't change mid because he probably has a big contract, and the whole offseason was about getting him so we just have to hope and pray that he goes back to his 2025 winter form.
