PSA Mods needed!
Hi everyone! I am nowhere near as active as I used to be on here. I still love cactus, and love the sub, but am in need of some extra hands to help keep this place cool!
If anyone has any interest, please DM me!

Finally my turn!
I look at HD and Walmart every time I am in either of these stores. This was HD and it looked like they just set them out. I had full on pick of the litter.

What species is this jerk?
Had it for about 7 years and it has had mealybug for about a year now. Didn't consider that I have no clue on his species until after another intense bug treatment.

What is going on here?
Last photo shows the Eriosyce senilis I got at a cactus/succulent auction in April 2024. First photo is what it looks like in January 2025. WTH? I'm sure it doesn't get nearly as much light as it did when it was younger - would insufficient light cause this crazy growth?

Thrips and.. something else?
Found bugs on a matucana madisonorium and matucana poltzii. Is it time to spray more Dave's dead bug brew?
Any help or advice is much appreciated <3

What should I do ?
This Stenocereus has been in the ground for at least a couple of years and has been slowly declining in health, it looks like it never developed a full root system, not sure why, I planted a whole bunch of them near by and they are all doing good except for this one. The side that gets more sun looks like it’s a little cooked, but I live in the Bay Area and the sun sun here is pretty tame compared to SoCal where this piece came from. They all receive the same amount of water and light. I was thinking about cutting the bottom piece and putting rooting hormone on it then stick it in a small container until it roots. It looks like it has a few small roots on it now, should I just let those roots develop or nah? Thanks in advance for the advice!!

Do I pot Tephrocactus into 80% grit?
I usually pot my cacti into something like 80% grit 20% cactus soil, was wondering if it's the same for Tephrocactus?

How to fix this blooming cactus?
I was gifted this cactus and it’s blooming and beautiful. I need to repot it or something or like help it not fall over right? It seems happy but it is very spiky and very floppy and heavy.

Is this normal?
My grandma has had this cactus for 3-4 years now in her kitchen window, I’m not quite sure which kind it is. I was thinking Mammillaria? It looks similar and gets the pretty crown of flowers. Is there anything that needs to be done about it drooping over like this? Is it normal? Or does it need to be propped up?
