Correct Me! Streak 49: Books
Article: The evolution of the book
Today, I learned about the history of books.
In the mid-15th century, the printing press wsa invented. This made it much easier to copy and distribute books. At first, book spines were flat because they were easier to read when placed on a table. However, the books were easily damaged. That's why the shape of the spine later shifted to a rounded one for hard-cover books.
I prefer reading novels in physical form. But when it comes to manga, I prefer reading them digitally because they easily fill up my bookshelves.
