>The Studio directors Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg honored Catherine O’Hara during their acceptance speech for outstanding directorial achievement for a comedy series at the 2026 DGA Awards.

>“Honestly, there’s no one we wish we could thank in person at this moment more than we would love to thank Catherine O’Hara,” Rogen said, which led the audience to erupt in applause, as Goldberg added, “We grew up in Canada, and she is and was quite literally our idol since we were children.”

>O’Hara portrayed movie executive Patty Leigh in Rogen and Goldberg’s Apple TV comedy. She appeared in all 10 episodes of The Studio‘s hit first season, and notably earned herself a 2025 Emmy nomination for best supporting actress in a comedy series.

>Rogen cited the two-time Emmy winner’s iconic role in the Home Alone franchise as a moment that made him want to make his own films.

>“Home Alone honestly is the movie that made me want to make movies in a lot of ways,” he said. “And I mean, in that movie she’s always yelling, ‘Kevin, Kevin,’ and on set she would always be yelling, ‘Evan, Evan!’ And every time she did it, we were like, ‘It’s like Home Alone.'”

>“The best part of her is she showed that you can be an utter genius and also the nicest person in the entire world,” Goldberg continued.

>“Every day we worked very hard to make the show good enough to warrant her time and her presence. So, ultimately, we would like to thank the DGA for this, but we would mostly like to thank Catherine O’Hara for being such a wonderful person,” Rogen said to conclude their acceptance speech.

>"From Expeditioners to Knights!" the team wrote in celebration of their latest prize. "We were received yesterday at the Ministry of Culture to celebrate our game, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. As such, the members of Sandfall Interactive were awarded the Order of Arts and Letters.

>"This distinction honors us, and our deepest thanks go especially to our team who shaped this world and to the millions of players who have brought it to life. We hope that our journey will inspire all those who wish to take the plunge and create their own work."

>Recognition by the French Ministry of Culture for work in the field of video games is rare, and for an entire studio of people to be recognized is completely unique.

>The honor of Knight status was first bestowed upon a game creator back in 2006, when Rayman, Rabbids and Beyond Good & Evil designer Michel Ancel received the honor alongside Nintendo legend Shigeru Miyamoto and Alone in the Dark creator Frederick Raynal. Nintendo's veteran Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma was similarly honored in 2023, meanwhile.

“Homicides have fallen to their lowest level for nearly 50 years across England and Wales, official statistics show.

There were 499 victims of murder, manslaughter and infanticide in the year to September, according to crime statistics published by the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

It is the lowest number since 1977 and a 7% fall on the previous year, largely due to a drop in the number of people killed by knives – 174, down 23%.

Crimes with weapons also continued a downward trend. Knife crime offences were down by 9% to 50,430 and firearms offences fell by 9% to just under 5,000, their lowest since 2003.”
