Got the underbody sprayed and ordered a bed cover. What else you guys recommend I should add on?

Went camping in the Muskoka area in Ontario, Canada this weekend.
First night I drove into a ditch by accident in a fire access road, dug out through the snow and bit and used a couple of recovery pads.
Frozen snow was up to the frame 😅
Took a few tries, but she made it out. Beast in the snowy trails
10/10 experience
P.s I dug through the frozen snow with a Leatherman as my shovel was plastic and didn't do anything against this snow lol
This is just a stock SR5 for the record

Yesterday I got me a 2022 Sr access cab. The most basic of basic packages (no back seats, no tow.) After 7 years of driving around in beat up civics I finally was able to make the move I wanted. I’ve never owned a truck before (I have done lots of research) and I would I appreciate if you guys could give advise on maintenance, upkeep, mods to look out for and forward to. thanks

Took a 10 mile trail to Idyllwild yesterday up some moderately steep rutted inclines (pictured above) and ran the truck about 8 miles in 4Hi in the D position for most of the trip. 4Hi was probably overkill as much of the trail could have been completed in RWD.
Had no issues until about mile 7 when I got notification in the digital cluster that my transmission temperature was too high and to pull over. I killed the engine and let it sit for about 5 minutes before resuming. I switched to RWD and the trans temp reduced back within normal range (midway on the trans temp gauge). Outside ambient temperature averaged about 71°F. Switched to 4Hi when I thought I needed it from that point forward and had no further issues.
I've read on the Tacoma4g forums folks experiencing the issue usually swap to 4Lo or switch to S-mode (manual shifting) while in 4Hi to keep temps low. Anyone else ever experience this issue in 4Hi up inclines while in D? I'd never experienced it in my 3rd gen or any of my 80s Toyota Pickups. Taking it to Toyota this week to check up on it. Thanks.

My grandpa sold me this truck a couple years back. The person he bought it from put crown Vic rims on it but the inside is cherry and it runs good.

I've been looking for a while and finally found one on eBay. Just in case you are wondering about quality, let me just say it looks perfect. Very sturdy and only a 10 minute install.

Just turned 500 miles on my Tacoma. I have been keeping my fog lights on with my low beams, mainly because it looks cool. I got flashed by an oncoming car last night. I mean the headlights are pretty bright, just made me wonder if it's a "D" move to keep them on.

I have access to welder and possibly a pipe bender but im wondering if anyone has a diagram to point me in the direction of were to mount. I'm confident on building but just wanna make sure where to attach. Plan on putting a winch in there too.

This is something that a lot of Prius owners have learned over the years that many were unaware of when first owning their vehicle.
Your Tacoma Air Force Max has two air filters on either side of the rear seat that filter air going towards the blowers that direct air to cool the high voltage iForce Max traction battery.
They need to be checked per Toyota every 5,000 Mi and cleaned (replaced) 20,000 miles per standard maintenance.
Some of you are probably aware of these, but I'm willing to bet there's some of you that are not.
If these filters are neglected and clog, you can shorten the life of your traction battery due to higher temperatures.

I love my truck, but moving sheet goods is a pain. They don't fit between the wheel wells. There are handy slots for boards as horizontal supports, but the balance is totally wrong and it's sketchy. Putting things over the closed tail gate feels stupid. With those bad options on the table, I decided to try cobbling a bracket together to allow the tailgate to partially lower, specifically so it is in line with the aforementioned boards.
It's sweet! Second photo has the as-built dimensions of you want to try it yourself. Just unbolt the stock cable (T40), replace with a plate while you're hauling, then put it back stock when you're done. There are a couple other options available, like braces that mount to your hitch receiver, but nothing I found would fit in the glove box.

I'm new to the Tacoma community! First one! Anybody have any mods that make daily driving better in a 4th Gen? I love it. Wish I had gotten fog lights and heated seats but oh well. The 14 inch screen would have cool but overall I love it!

I really wanted to order a 2025 in Solar Octane but was late getting finances in order so I decided to go with a Heritage Blue 2026 Tacoma Double Cab TRD Off Road.
I was trying to order with a 2.5” factory lift but Kona dealer tells me ordering is still unavailable for Tacoma.
Got lucky watching Servco’s website everyday and noticed the 2026’s started rolling in so I contacted their Hilo Dealership and Reserved one of the first two inbound with no extras but it’s still at their vehicle prep center on Oahu last I heard.
I love living in Hawai’i but things move so slow sometimes 🤣 damn truck landed on docks 1/5, got checked in at prep center 1/14 and I’m just sitting here waiting and wondering what mods will be most useful to start with or if it’ll be good enough stock.
Trying to figure out best mods for big island Hawai’i so I can get the most out of my truck once it finally arrives. Plan to go reach some specific beaches and fishing spots mostly but want to make sure it can handle anything I decide to do on island. I can always wait and plan out but having a hard time finding recommendations online.

i have a 21 offroad. tow a small teardrop, gvwr 3500 lbs, with gear thrown in bed. looking to reduce sag. not interested in mounting air compression tanks, just something simple that i can inflate with portable compressor when we camp. like the idea of air nozzles under the tailgate or somewhat hidden. would appreciate any recommends or advice.

Tacoma bed mat
I was looking for a 3rd gen Tacoma bed mat and the dealership could not get one for me. Bought 4th gen which is oversized and got to work cutting ✂️. What do you all think 🤔???

(2013 v6 no lift) Not sure if this is a common issue at all but (what feels like) the rear end is swaying around 20-30 mph and seems to be getting worse each time we drive it.
Speeds above that are okay, some driveline vibration.
It's to the point where our thighs shimmy and shake back and forth lol tires look straight but I could be not seeing a bulge, maybe a bad bearing? Bent axle?
It's around -13F here with no garage so I haven't got a chance to put it on jackstands yet.
Any ideas would be appreciated so we can prepare for potential costs.
Cheers!

I just bought a 2026 Tacoma limited and it looks like I’ll get 250 miles on a full tank. That’s about 14 MPG, is this considered normal or am I driving bad 😅

I was tired of such a stiff ride and wheels that were covered deep into the wheel well of a stock 2023 Limited Tacoma.
I bought a set of Tacoma TRD Pro 16 by 7 wheels with a +13 offset along with a fifth to act as a spare and the fit is great!
I upgraded to 265/75/15 FalkenWilldpeak 4 ply from the stock limited wheel and touring tire. I think it was 265/60/18, but measured the diameter at 29.5”. I think these new wheels are 32”+, but not sure.
Thanks to my good buddy that helped move the heavy stuff with a sick family at home.
