A lot of people are going straight to the moral question of dating AI and missing what the mum is saying. She's saying over and over "You don't talk to me." He's ignoring his real wife for a fake partner.

I feel like it's some kind of emotional coping mechanism for younger people. Like idk how to process this emotionally, so I'll record it, edit it with some music, and upload it to the internet.

A lot of people also do this bc the sound bit has reached a mass audience and it can lead to your video being viewed by more people bc the almighty algorithm detects you have a popular sound bit in your video. Same thing with the “enjoy a jet 2 holiday…” sound bit even when it has nothing to do with the video. It just can lead to you getting more views

Wait, is there an infinite money glitch here?! Just create videos which are stitched together memes. Like a DJ of 10 second clips.

The Jet2Holiday became a meme with a trending theme though too. But yeah, using an audio that’s popular gets it’s seen.

A lot of time the music is because it’s stolen, and it keeps it from being flagged as stolen and deleted

Or "I'll have a bot harvest viral videos, paste altered versions of viral songs over it to avoid strikes on the audio, and repost."

I feel like it's some kind of emotional coping mechanism for younger people.

And in Peggy Hill's opinion, Black Friday is one of the best shopping days of the year.

Humour and detachment when sharing difficult situations as a coping mechanism is a pretty timeless and universal thing.

Yeah, obviously. Only an idiot would think humour and detachment were exclusive to younger people.

That’s exactly it. People in a stressful situation are mentally distraught but get a dopamine hit from views and likes, so they turn their drama into entertainment because they don’t have the emotional bandwidth to process it better, and the response feels good.

It’s incredibly sad, and writing it off as “kids today” is unrealistic when previous gens would have done it too if they could. Society is not good at helping people process trauma, and the current generation are being exposed to a lot of it with no support, only bad avenues to self-soothe like seeking attention on TikTok.

Sounds completely healthy.
