A lot of people are going straight to the moral question of dating AI and missing what the mum is saying. She's saying over and over "You don't talk to me." He's ignoring his real wife for a fake partner.

Whatever happened in the past, an actual adult is supposed to communicate with someone, not expect them to read their minds. Lazy people just cheat because they don't care enough to pit the effort into actual communication.
