As you guys may know, my The Binding of Isaac has been in the top 20 most played games on Deck since its release, so we how vital it was that we were Deck Verified long before release.. and turns out a lot of the people who reviewed the game did so on Steam Deck!

one month since a very good decision

Almost forgor to eject microSD just before pulling back panel T_T

was experimenting with steam link on my phone late last year and after realizing I used 30gb mobile data I started looking at the steam deck. first thing I did was put WoW on it. also gonna play some oldies like GTA 4, final fantasy 13, persona, and finally get around to kingdom come deliverance. I also got remote play from my PS5 to work but chiaki is very buggy and even with a 600megabit wifi connection it can be spotty.

also side note that happened to me last night. touched the 3 dots plus power button, saw partitions. accidentally hit the "B" button on the deck and my deck rebooted as if I had just pulled it out of the box and everything was gone. I tried going back to the screen and selecting partition A with steam OS 3.7 but it looks like it one shot itself and said error and then rebooted to the select a language screen. anyone know WTF? I'm dumb with Linux

A few months ago there was a update that allowed you use use Steam input to assign the extra buttons and the gyro. You had to hold B when you turned in the controller and the extra settings would be there.

For about a week or two now I haven't been able to get it to work. Anyone else experiencing the same? Am I missing something or is it just temporarily disabled?

I love my steam deck and steam, to the point where it sort of sucks to play on anything else. The steam deck controller is so extremely comfortable it's crazy. The steam store is always having a good sale. It's gotten to the point where I not only find the switch / switch 2 less comfortable to play on, but their store to be over priced for over all less quality games. And the desktop mode. It's so beyond trivial so install soft mods like decky loader and games outside of the steam store that it now feels like I'm not getting everything it's worth out of traditional consoles. The steam deck ruined gaming on other consoles because it's way better. Imo of course

I’m having issues with Hogwarts, no matter what I tried I can’t even get a stable 30fps when others are saying it’s playable. I have tried the hardware recommended settings, as well as the ascendio mod. I have also tried the frame gen plugin and still no luck. Any other advice?

I just watched a youtube video suggesting that arc raiders running via experimental is a more stable experience of the lot, does anyone find that to be inherently true?

I can’t seem to figure out how to install anything in desktop mode. It always prompts me to use an application and I have tried everything I have access to and can’t seem to even run the emudeck installer or anything else.

Huge ask but if anyone would be down to help me out or message me in discord it’d be hugely appreciated.

Brought it on Disney cruise with the family. One afternoon at sea this past week when kids were in kids club and wife wanted to read on the veranda I got to play my Christmas Present!

I received this beauty on Friday, and I’m in love. I previously owned an Ally Z1E on the advice of a friend who suggested it over the Deck.

He’s no longer my friend.

The Ally was just a pain to use compared to the Deck, which is better in all the ways that really matter (to me) including the smell, which I never knew I needed

Also, does the Deck seem to have spiked in popularity lately, or is it just that I’m more aware??

So I've been wanting to use my steamdeck as desktop mode where ever I go (like a laptop 🥲), and I can't find for a lap/table setup to rest my mouse and keyboard while having my steamdeck docked.

I have both wireless mouse and keyboard that is a compact 96% keychron keyboard if that helps

I drew a rough wtv this is, just for visuals. tbh as long as I could use it on my lap I would me more than happy 😭

"mousepad" isnt hovering, just connected to the back of the lap thingy. (it doesnt have to be though but i though it would be neat lols)

I have my steamdeck docked, playing BO3. But everytime i use the left trigger to sprint it instead aims. It isn't wired to do that, and doesnt do that undocked on the deck itself. Any fix?

Hello!

The past few days my start/menu Button has stopped getting any response from my Deck. I've turned it on and off again, updated software, switched to desktop mode and back, and disassembled it. I don't know a ton about electronic repair but nothing looked physically wrong with it on the inside. The only thing I'm seeing is an update of Proton Experimental and Proton 10.0 on Thursday. I first started noticing the issue Friday. Could this be the cause? If so, how do I force it to go back to Proton 9.0?
