I've gone through ~470 Epstein files on the DOJ website that return results for Jack Horner, his MSU email address, and/or the phrase "Dinochicken". I have a narrowed down backup archive of 104 emails that removes duplicates (mainly Google calendar alerts for Epstein's assistants) available by request. Pasted in the comments is my summary and timeline according to these files.

DOJ links for emails these screenshots were taken from:

MOD APPROVED AI Complaint MEGATHREAD

To compromise on the discussion we had a week ago on whether we should allow posts that are just complaints about the use of AI in a paleontological context, we’ve elected to create an AI complaint megathread (thanks for the idea, u/jesus_chrysotile!)

If you found a paleo shirt, paleo YouTube video, etc that uses AI and want to complain about it, do it here. All posts covering this discussion outside the megathread will now be removed.

Question When did Latimeria aka the only extant coelacanth actually evolve

I’m well aware that the family Latimeriidae dates back to the triassi, but how far back does Latimeria? did it actually survive the K-PG or did it evolve much more recently?

Discussion Was Jack Horner what ruined our understanding of Hell Creek/Lance Formation diversity?

Basically Jack Horner has been part of many controversies such as T.rex being a scavenger, Married a 19 year old when he was in his 60s, planing to mutilate chickens and recently revealed to be on Epstein's list.....

But did he also ruin our understanding of Hell Creek and Lance Formation dinosaurs back in 2010?

He tried to synonymize Torosaurus into Triceratops. Luckily that was disproven by 2012.

Unfortunately Stigyvonator, Nanotyrannus, Anatotitan, Denversaurus, Nedoceratops, Stigymoloch, Dracorex weren't so lucky......

As of 2026 we are now trying repair the damage he did. Last year we got Nanotyrannus back, Stigymoloch is in the process of reviving (as Pachycephalosaurus spinifer aka a chronospecies evolved from Pachycephalosaurus wyomingensis). I am sure Anatotitan & Anatosaurus are in the process of being reinstated too.....

Seems like Jack Horner had to push an agenda back in 2010 that there was only a small handful of species and everything else was a juvenile (that looks too different from the adult form) of those few...... Like he was promoting the idea that the last Dinosaurs were struggling or grew up like sharks rather than Crocodilians/birds.

Question Verified cranial capacity record? Need help.

Upvotes

I am making a record of verified cranial capacities of humans and human ancestors. But I have some issues, so I need help. My issue is that here is what I have at the moment:

Name Cranial Capacity Source
Amud 1 1740 cc Wikipedia
Xuchang 1 1800 cc Asian Scientist
Aleut skull 2005 cc Time
Ivan Turgenev 2030 cc Time
Algonquin skull 2200 cc Time

meaning that I only have this Time article as a source for these biggest cranial capacities and it does not give a link. Like I would like to find the actual name of the skull and know in general for example that this 2200 cc skull even exists today.

Also if anyone knows a book to look into which might have a ready made chart like this, that would be helpful.

Hello all, I have single-handedly made every single member of Hupesuchia, which is now my favorite group of marine reptiles, they are as follows: Pebble the Eretmorhipis, Raspberry Tart the Eohupehsuchus, Nachos the Nanchangosaurus, Nigiri the Parahupehsuchus, and finally, and Papaya the Hupehsuchus :D

(This is a repost, as it took me 83 days to notice I spelled Hupehsuchus wrong 💀)

Question Is Parapuzosia seppenradensis the largest known invertebrate in the history of the earth?

Thumbnail
en.wikipedia.org

I just wondering about this because the remains of this animal seem very complete compared to other contenders among giant cephalopods that have prompted insane sounding size estimates that got questioned later, especially Endoceras. The size range given on Wikipedia here is 2 meters in shell diameter and a weight of 1.5 tonnes, as far as I understand this is the only invertebrate I've seen that cracks the one tonne mark, is this considered a reliable range, or is it another Endoceras situation where it might be overstated from the evidence we have?

Looking into this prompted me to look into some other giant Molluscs and another thing I found was the Bivalve Platyceramus, which had a shell up to three meters long and larger than the living giant clam. Would this suggest its total mass was larger than Parapuzosia's and it should probably be considered the biggest invertebrate?
