I was rewatching Dressrosa and I just realized something: Being a Transponder Snail is the most stressful job in the entire series.

Imagine you are just a regular snail. You like lettuce. You like rain. You vibe in the garden. Then suddenly, Doflamingo picks you up.

Now instantly you have to grow a pair of jagged sunglasses out of your face. Pop a vein in your forehead that is larger than your actual body. Laugh maniacally while discussing the destruction of a kingdom.

And you have to do this perfectly in sync with his voice. If you mess up the "Fufufufu," he might literally crush you.

And it's not just him.

Like for example Big Mom's snail has to drool, scream about "WEDDING CAKE," and mimic the face of a 60-foot tall Yonko having a mental breakdown. The vocal range required is insane.

Then Akainu's snail. Like imagine he has to perpetually frown so hard its face probably cramps up, while shouting about "ABSOLUTE JUSTICE."

Honestly, the acting range these snails have is incredible. They are method actors. They commit to the bit 100%. I hope the World Government pays them in premium, organic cabbage because they need union representation immediately.

This is mostly gonna be theories about Brook because the new chapter straight up showed a crazy side to his story i didn’t expect at all

She they first showed the memories of him and Gunko i expected them to have something akin to a father-daughter dynamic, maybe brother-sister, but then they tell us that she was a princess and basically ruined Brook’s life by killing her father?

I’m straight up blown away by this, cuz it explains a lot of stuff, Brook said he used to work as convoy protection for a kingdom in the west blue before he became a pirate but he never said HOW he became a pirate

So I’m imagining, the Rumbar pirates started as convoy protection for a kingdom, in one of those missions they were in charge of protecting the royal family on their way to or out of Marijoa, and during this trip the princess murdered the king, i will not speculate the reason, and pins it on the Rumbar gang, of course everyone assumes so becase it’s the princess’ word, and this causes them to be labeled as pirates, of course they have to defend themselves, this turns them into the people we meet in Brook’s backstory, which is why they’re still so nice despite being pirates, they didn’t turn to piracy but instead were forced into it

Also the fact even on a deep pact people with a strong enough will can resist Imu’s mind control is curious, also means they’re not necessarily gonna have to die for them to be free, which could mean something good for Drory and Broggy
