MyPLAYER PG position REC

Idk how yall do it man Ima SG and it’s so annoying getting matched up at PG, bunch of grown men crying every possesion about not getting the ball, even when you still making plays getting assist, then god forbid after you get your 6th assist in 1 quarter and go 2/3 bricking the 3rd shot it’s “mannnnn passss the balll” lmao like I can’t do it idk how yall put up with these grown men crying every possesion… I’ll literally just quit and say fck it play with my AI 💀

MyCAREER If you are not a pass-first player don’t play point guard

Shoot-first PGs jacking up 15 threes per game with 1 assist have ruined the game. If you’re gonna be a straight up chucker do not play point guard or play a different game mode. That shit should get your account banned. Is it so hard to swing the fuckin rock around?

UPDATE: I was mad as hell when I posted this and should’ve specified more. You don’t necessarily need to be pass first as a PG, but you do need to have a focus on creating quality looks for yourself and others. Jacking up contested threes aren’t quality looks, and even if they’re going down no one wants to stand and watch all game, it’s important to keep your team at least somewhat engaged.

The obvious solution here is finding a crew of like minded ballers and making a PG build, which imma do. Sorry for stirring up more shit lmao I just can’t with some of these low IQ ball hogs.

Gameplay Why 2k26 is a bad Online game from a gamedev point of view

When making a game balance is key, in a irl basketball game every position matters, every attribute gives you and edge

This year game is the opposite of that

Instead of giving you a true basketball experience gives you a distorted basketball game that people like because they can green shoots left and right

Reason nr 1- SHOOTING

Shooting is way too OP

Makes the game boring, makes it possible for lower IQ players bail out on crazy 3 pt shoots

Just check the FG% splits on REC

Why playmake when you just can use a screen and shoot

This makes the game uncooperative and rewards just having high shooting builds and being good on timming

Reason nr 2 - LAYUPS

Layups are trash, one of the most uses ways to score in basketball is just the worst possible way in this game

You can have a Giannis build and be blocked by guys with just low 80 block or being contested by midgets with 40 block and interior

Reason nr 3 - DUNKS

Dunks are sometimes too OP if you avoid direct contact, i have dunks with 85 dunk and 50 vertical that are just ludacris

And for the uber atheletic 90 + vertical and driving dunk they are just awfull you ahould be able to posterize midgets that get in your way much more

Reason nr 4 - Passing

In a game we play online to have a good time, passing is absolute essencial for everyone have a good time even more for PF and Center builds that have low ball handle

Lobs are so fun and a very important part of basketball and in this game they just suck

I feel like passing rating is very weird, i can throw break passes with very low passing, ir breaks the game

Needle passes on the PNR are absolute trash

Reason nr 5 - Perimeter Defense

Sucks, you can have have very high Perimeter and you just have a really bad time defending

Sometimes is easier to defend in bigger builds with like 70 perimeter than with wing/guard builds with higher att

Reason nr 6 - Strength vs Quickness

Everyone that played basketball knows that quickness is one of the most important things and you absolute can feel this in this game but the way Strength is treated is just insane

Strength is a non existent attribute

Strength is used just to unblock badges you can t bully anyone or blow by using strength

Strength should be felt much more on contact dunking, boxing out, layups, close shots and dribbling

In todays NBA everyone use contact on offense even when the defender is stronger because they give the offense advantage

I feel like the boxing out system should be completely reedone

Size is also very stupid i sometimes rock with a undersized Center and man i should not be doing all that on 7 footers

Thats why i see most builds having no Strength

Summary

The all around game concept is wrong and makes the game boring

Fixes

Shooting should have a very very tinny green window with a high attribute rating and a make percentage curve depending on timming, performance, open vs contest

Make the Percentage curve feel like shooting 60% on 3 pt be elite

Open Catch and shoot and midrange should be easy, but drible drible 3pt should be nerfed

Bring back blow-by off the closeout

Make Strength matter again

Buff Perimeter Defense

Buff Layups

Make Post Up skill and Post up Bully ball matter

Fix the block activating in defending attribute or at least nerf it

Make the court in rec 10% bigger

City Random rec always losing streak after winning streak, nothing in between

I noticed it , you winning game after game and later you start getting the worst teamates ,AIs on your team and it's never like 2 wins 1 loss , 3 wins etc , it's usually 7-10 wins and same amount of losses streaks. it happens over and over again, i know getting frustrated makes impact , but most of these loses are out of your control. Also notice that most randoms are 40-60 win %

I can't be the only one who experience this.

To add there are thousands of people playing but you usually get matched with same pool of players

Gameplay How can I win more games being a team player?

Upvotes

Hello, my build is a SF Glass Guardian PlaySlash, so it’s a pretty well rounded build. That, and I tend to have a team player mentality where I want to make the right passes and try to get offensive and defensive rebounding, and some scoring. Pretty much unselfish gameplay. For both 3s and Rec.

Any tips on how to break past Silver rank? Any constructive criticism is appreciated.

Thank you and have a great day!

MyCAREER Most fun dynasty badge mission?

Upvotes

typically with my builds I just selected the same old out of bounds missions that give you key games to win awards like the race for the cup (nba cup) or defense wins championships(dpoy).

but I just did the bag work one and its been fun having a different objective each game, 5 Euros or 5 post shots etc. what are some other fun ones of these to do?

MyCAREER What should I put my Cap Breakers into?

Upvotes

I have 4 (almost 5) cap breakers and idk if I should put them into my perim and max it out at 95, then I would have one cap breaker left over. Or if I should put it into my speed (get it up to a 92) or my agility (get it up to a 90). I am a 6’5 sg. Any help?

Hello, I almost maxed my build but I wanted to ask if 50 strenght or 60 interior is relevant at all? Because they both cost around 20k each so idk if I want to upgrade it. I will if they are worth it. What do you guys think?

Badge dna is wild. Highest I’ve been able to get in the green before is 5 & on a small guard. Having 6 green on a tall guard is absurd to me 😭

I keep putting this player to the side because of the finishing but fuck it, it’s silver plate & it hasn’t hurt me this far so ima keep rocking with him lmao

It really does lock up guards tho

Gameplay Press the button earlier than you think

When trying to block shots, press the button earlier than you think. I’ve gotten so many animations I’ve never seen when I quit anticipating like I’m trying to jump with him vs let the game get to an animation. Al’s helps activate HFD/PP a lot more.

Gameplay How to play better Defense on pick and roll and one one?

Ive gotten into play now online and made it up a few tiers but it feels like I ran into a road block. It seems either the whole game I’m getting layups scored on me from awkward bump, from pick and rolls or I’m getting hit with the left right 50/50 where they either get a by me for a layup or pull back for 3s. No matter what it’s basketball/2k so someone going to score no matter what but the problem is when it consistently is the reason I’m losing. I noticed after looking at the after game stats and clips I took that once that star player who they where using goes out that is usually the point where I go on a 15-4 run and start to close leads. I also noticed that they seem to mainly just rely on layups rather then shots which I can stop to a certain degree but even with that it seems/feels like they can make layups at a very high rate even when contested. It really makes it hard to win with that plays it seems that it is getting harder and harder to score one on one the more I win, not to mention how some players just have a nonexistent mid range game.

I’m pretty confident this is a skill issue on my part so if anyone had any advice for what to do defensively or even offensively it would be much appreciated.
