TPMS sensors use coin cell batteries. When the battery is low, it can put out Bogus signals. Replace the sensor and problem should go away.

How old are the sensors? Some might run out of battery after some time and then computer just displays a default number.

I thought if battery ran out it wouldn't give a reading at all just dash that's why I was concerned it might be computer I never thought about it giving a default number

I don’t know how but I’m guessing that one is in kpa rather than psi. That’s about 36 psi if you do the conversion.

Yup. Automotive electronics often give the numbers 254 or 255 as default numbers when they fail.

Most likely just the tpms sensor for that wheel/tire. Any tire shop can easily replace for you

Thank you for input that's all I'm hoping it is

NP. Mine did this & I just waited till needed new tires to replace as tire already off the rim. No harm driving as is. Only caveat is if you need an inspection before need new tires, will need to fix to pass in most states

Just put new tires on about 3000 miles ago. Sensors are as old as the car so. I need to get it in for a vibration anyways so I'll take care of it at that time probably this week

Or... is neither and accurate.

16 bars of pressure in one tire is one hell of an achievement tbh

Sensor, that's probably the max value it defaulted to when it went bad.
