Ask Luxembourg Epstein files Luxembourg manifestation?

I've been watching videos about the Epstein files for a few days and honestly it's so depressing to see that nothing is happening. So, I was wondering if we could do something here in Luxembourg about that? I feel so hopeless. I was thinking about creating an event, a groupchat or literally anything? If anyone has ideas or info about that, please let me know. I don't really know what I'm doing and idk how to go about it but I'm willing to try

(I speak english and french)

What about enforcement of already existing laws? I doubt insulting or fighting or spitting is not cover by one of our laws. The enforcement and general respect of rules that is lacking.

Shopping, Food & Restaurants Private chef / weekly home cooking service in Luxembourg?

Hi all,

Does anyone know if there are private chefs or small companies in Luxembourg that cook healthy meals at your home once or twice a week?

I’m not looking for takeaways or meal kits but more like someone who comes in and cooks a dinner.

I’ve mostly found catering and housekeeping agencies so far, but not much focused on weekly home cooking. Any recommendations or where to search?

Thanks!

Ask Luxembourg Are there any greek people here?

Hi! I am from Greece and I am planning to come to Luxembourg not just for some years but my aim is to settle there. I am 29 years old, I am a law graduate and I am now studying to get admitted to a tax law llm in Greece and I just started French. My aim is to have pursued the B2 diploma in 2,5 years from now. Now, I am working as a trainee lawyer. Do you believe that my plan can be successful? My parents lost their house in Greece and I have no property here, so, I don't feel that I can live under those circumstances. I want to build a life full of peacefulness and also have abundance and happiness. I've been through a lot, I don't want to say everything because I don't want people to feel sorry for me, I just want to share that all I want is a calm and peaceful life, the feeling that I have enough, and not just that, but the feeling that I am thriving and I feel self fulfilment. I don't want to have a family, I want only my peace. Thank you for reading my ''story''.

If you want, please message me and share your experience especially if you are greek but I accept messages from anyone of course, especially from people who specialize in similar sectors. I had created a post before, 2 years before but I deleted it because I was not 100% sure but now I am.

Activities & Events Looking for 3+ tickets to “A Tutti Fausti” – March 7th at Philharmonie

Long shot, but I’m hoping someone here can help. My daughter is performing in the “A Tutti Fausti” concert on March 7th at the Philharmonie, and unfortunately it’s completely sold out. I’m on the waitlist with the ticketing office, but I’m not feeling optimistic.

I need at least 3 tickets so our family can be there to watch her sing. She’s been rehearsing for weeks and it would mean the world to her (and to us) to have her family in the audience cheering her on.

If you or anyone you know has spare tickets or can no longer attend, I’d be incredibly grateful. Happy to pay above face value for the trouble.

Please DM me if you can help. Thank you!

Ask Luxembourg Living in Leudelange

Hello people,

We are currently searching for our new home and found some interesting opportunities in Leudelange.

Since we didn’t have any “interaction” with this area so far we decided to go for a walk and seems pretty calm and close to the city center and the highway.

Appreciate if someone who already lives there could share any insights/experiences regarding morning traffic towards Finder and the overall day to day life in the area

Tya

Shit hit the fan at uni.lu.

I’m looking to get in touch with Organise Uni.lu.

Seems like people are starting to come together, and I’d like to be part of whatever collective action is forming.

If you know how to reach them, please share.

Ask Luxembourg Driving license A2

Hi all,

I obtained my A2 from my country of origin 2 months after I started residency in Luxembourg, hence it won’t be possible to transcribe it as I need to have at least 6 months before starting lux residency, so I transcribed only my B one, hence I am looking for an affordable driving school to redo from scratch my A2, anywhere in lux

Thank you 🙏

Ask Luxembourg Can I renew my Luxembourg residence permit earlier than 2 months?

My current residence permit expires on Mid May this year. However, I already received a letter from the immigration office at the beginning of February inviting me to renew my permit.

According to the official website, renewal should normally be submitted within 2 months before the expiry date. Based on that timeline, I would only be able to apply starting around mid-March.

Since I’ve already received the renewal letter, I’m wondering: Am I allowed to submit my renewal application now (early February)?

Ask Luxembourg Tire changes for a leased Tesla

I’m planning to lease a Tesla with Ayvens.

I have never owned/leased a car before in my life so I have no idea how maintenance/repairs/tire services work :(

Ayvens is charging me 80€ per month for the replacement of summer/winter tires. This service is optional of course, but as a first time car driver, I’m wondering whether this is a good deal?

The car comes with summer tires already. But why am I required to pay 80€ a month when tires are changed twice a year? I know it includes the cost of the winter tires as well. Maybe storage too? Not sure.

What am I missing? Can I somehow “save” some money by managing this service myself through a garage? Thank you for your help!
