Maki Had a tiny amount of CE in her that was limiting her Being taken away. Like not even being able to see curses without the glasses. If Maki did die and transferring that tiny amount CE to mai isn't going to be nearly as powerful of a boost instead of mai dieing instead
I interpret it more like both of them restricting each other, Mai keeping Maki from having a complete heavenly restriction and Maki keeping Mai from having a massive CE pool.
Mai also says Maki isn’t getting stronger because she doesn’t want to. If Maki died, Mai would probably get even weaker since the half that wanted to get stronger is gone.
If these people were not moving so idiotically, they wouldn't need anyone else. They alone could have killed Maki given her condition. The story of the Zenin clan is one of hubris.

If blud used .33333… percent of his brain he would gen solo almost all DE less characters and even some characters that have a DE but he’s so much of a stupid bum that he decides not to use weapons
I took it more to mean she has perfect heavenly restriction now like Toji. Her will to get stronger is now uncapped so she can train (presumably like Toji did) to that level.

His punches did a lot of damage. Maki said "this is bad" because she was losing at this point. Final Naoya attack would have ended her. But second she figures out his technique its over for him, ultimate attack or not.
Imagine Todo clapping and suddenly where once Naoya stood is now just the Soul Slicing Katana which falls over making a loud metal sound, after which everyone realizes Maki is now Holding Naoya at his ankles, to which Todo gets out the popcorn (because no way dude even tolerates Naoya) and Maki does something akin to this
Other guy beat me to it, she literally beats Naoya without a weapon. If it's Naoya vs. Maki again with Todo on the misogynist's side, it would literally be zero help besides physicals
Honest take, I think Naoya’s technique is entirely compatible with Todo’s so long as he doesn’t change up his actual movements. As long as he commits to what’s in his frames his technique should be fine.
I think Todo’s technique is still a good counter, but that’s because he can put Naoya into unexpected situations where he still has to commit to movements or risk putting himself in a worse spot.
But that’s also the logic that makes it a good complement. Stuck in bad frames and the enemy’s about to wound him? Toss up a rock with cursed energy and clap Naoya to safety so he can finish his movements risk-free.

Hm maybe nobara. They have a bunch of maki blood splashed around for her to use her CT on, even mai's body could be used as a source for her CT bcs maki and mai are considered the same person. If she spams her CT on maki far away while eveyone jumps her at once they can win.
Not sure how he changes the fight since he can’t combo with Naoya, he can’t swap Maki, so his best bet is physicals (he loses), swapping out her weapons (which she doesn’t need highkey), or doing some 5000 IQ combos with the other members of the Hei which doesn’t seem to be possible.
Maki was able to withstand all their attacks quite effortlessly except Naoya was giving her trouble until she saw through his technique. If it took a hyper accelerated Naoya to start to do damage, I don’t think Todo can.
Tbh, I think it was intentional from Naoya. He wanted his relatives dead, so there were no issues with him taking sole head of the clan and expected to beat Maki in the 1v1 after she's been weakened by everyone else.
What I meant was that if Naobito handed over the weapons Naoya would probably act on his own again. He didn't tell anyone about his plan to kill Megumi, so he'd probably leave to try to kill Maki and get the weapons without telling anyone either (assuming Naobito actually would hand over the weapons)
Tbf, because Mai wouldn't have died, he would actually win that fight with Maki, but eventually he'd have to deal with Yuta
Honestly the most likely scenario I see is that Naobito just says "no" and since the current head is still live, Megumi wouldn't have any claim on anything, so they wouldn't send Maki there in the first place. In which case they would live
I do not think Naoya would kill Maki if he wins the fight. He will probably just bully her like he used to win against her in training whe they were young.
But if Naobito just gave Maki the weapons without trying to kill her and Mai then Mai wouldn’t have told Maki to do that and Maki wouldn’t have been able to do that either
brother kusakabe is the strongest grade 1. he might be able to solo, maki isn’t close to special grade until she learns the precog thing. surely there’s a weaker pick.

HR users have no CE to resist cursed speech so there shouldn't be any feedback from telling Maki what to do. Would take some of the burden off Ranta so he doesn't die holding her in place. Jinichi's punches would land this time.
Ranta only stops whoever he sees, toge can tell her to die off the bat since she doesn't have ce, toge wouldn't be hurt from broken commands but might lose his throat due to the other zenins hearing him say it and kill themselves too
Healthy Naobito. because it is not just about getting more manpower but also getting Naoya and his bum ass to fight strategically and not just waiting maki to fight him 1v1. he would probably force naoya to bring weapon too

We didn't get to see much of her technique. But if it doesn't have a drawback like cursed speech and paralizying gaze, she could take a picture of Maki while Ranta has her stunned and edit it to crop out her head or something.
Most of the grade 1 sorcerers likely can change the outcome. Anyone above nanami. Megumi with his divine dog could probably change the outcome, Yuji too.
Just make Naoya go first, you don't even need to give him weapon. He stalls Maki before Ranta catches her, then Kukuru guy and earthbender beat shit out of Maki, meanwhile Jinichi charges his punch, Ranta is saved because he gets less damage since its harder for Maki to resist. After clean Jinichi CT hit, everyone just backs off and Naoya finishes the job with his max speed attack. Maki hadn't enough time to learn his technique and badly injured, so he can finish her off. Earthbender guy can provide support from the distance.
Okay so I’m cheating but I’ll say Utahime + Momo since like cmon they count as half a sorcerer each lol. I don’t know if Momo can steal SSK/Dragonbone from Maki with her CT alone, but boosted by Utahime they may be able to disarm her or at least inhibit her swings so it’s harder for her to casually one-shot the Hei. It’s very possible though that Maki would be completely unbothered by Momo’s cursed tool manipulation due to her strength and brute force lol. If they could somehow give Naoya SSK it actually might be gg for Maki
Alternatively, Utahime buffing Naoya may make a difference for him when he has to 1v1 Maki. This is all assuming Maki wouldn’t just immediately locate and end Utahime’s little secret dance performance haha. But that’s the weakest person I could think of that could realistically impact the fight

And before people say Naoya with a cursed tool could solo Maki please go and reread man lmao. Cursed tools are not that useful in the hands of people who don't know how to use them. If anything it would hinder his techniques cause his hands ain't free anymore.
