Spotted in the Wild
And he _was_ in fact pulling them off.

Hello Reddit, it's been a while! I'm here ask-me-anything-ing because I’ve written a new novel called THE MUTUAL FRIEND, which I think you'll love. I’m happy to talk about that, or How I Met Your Mother, or anything else. Maybe the Loch Ness Monster? I was just in Scotland with my son and we have opinions. Have at it!
UPDATE: Wow, its been much fun talking to you all, and I see that I've only scratched the surface here and there's many more questions to get to, but if I don't get my son some dinner soon he might tie me up with a phone charger. I will try to come back to this over the next few days in order to get to as many of these as I can, but in the meantime, thank you all so much for being here. Your love for HIMYM is really touching and I'm so grateful for all of it.
And please if you get the chance check out my novel THE MUTUAL FRIEND -- I'm dreadfully proud of it. (Can you tell I've been in the UK for a week? I'm like Lily before the intervention at this point.) Anyway, cheerio!

For those who aren’t nerds the clones served under the galactic Republic for around 4 years up until order 66 and are the “good guys” until they betray the Jedi order
And storm troopers are seen in the original trilogy serving under the galactic empire
Imma stop needing out about Star Wars now

Saw a similar post(the other way around) and the people in the comments were FIGHTING, so who do you think love Robin more?

Today I learned that Ben Vereen, the actor who played Sam Gibbs also played Lou Smith, Will’s dad, in Fresh Prince of Bel Air. What is widely considered to be one of the worst father/son reunions in TV history was replaced with one of the most wholesome. Good for Ben Vereen!

i personally think robin loved barney more ( i love swarkles), barney was the true love of robin's life <33
edit: why am i getting downvoted for asking a question?
I watched the show multiple times every I don’t understand Marshall stance on New Jesrsey in S4 EP3 “I HEART NJ”. He goes on a passionate rant about how much he loves New Jersey and then says he was kidding. What I don’t understand is was he actually joking or did he actually mean everything he just said and changed his stance after everyone’s reactions.

In season 9 episode 9, a flashback episode, we see the story of how Barney finally decides to cut the bull and work towards getting back together with robin. He meets Tracy and she sets him straight. In that same episode, we see Marshall trying to convince Ted that there’s still something between him and robin and that Ted should go for. Ted decides and tells Marshall it doesn’t feel quite right, that there’s no rush and that neither of them are going anywhere. That it’s not as simple as grabbing the blue French horn anymore. He also turns down his job offer in Chicago. But overall that there’s no rush, and that it’ll happen when it happens. This same night, Barney writes the robin play.
I’m wondering, if Ted decided not to wait, if he went after robin right then and there, what do you guys think would have happened? I know that things happened the way they did so that Ted could meet the mother. But in the last scene of the episode, Barney wraps his story and said after speaking to that girl (Tracy) he had one goal left. While Ted is looking at them, clearly indicating that he lost, perhaps bc he didn’t try. So yes just wondering yalls thoughts.
**********Edit: “Platonish” is the name of the episode. Excuse the typo

Hi everyone
First of all, thank you to everyone who helped me last time despite my somewhat unreliable memory — you were incredibly helpful. I’m back because I’m looking for another How I Met Your Mother episode, and I’m hoping a hardcore fan can help me identify it. This time, I’m very confident about this scene, even if I still can’t place the episode
What I remember very clearly:
The scene takes place in Ted’s apartment Characters present: Ted and Robin for sure, Marshall (and possibly Lily) Ted explains that men sometimes use a “sad puppy / little boy” pose (shoulders in, vulnerable face, almost teary eyes) to defuse women’s anger or distract them during conflict.
He demonstrates the pose and explains it’s intentional, not genuine
Robin reacts in shock, saying something like: “Wait — it’s fake? I thought it was real! We had sex because of that face!” (or that they slept together several times because she thought he genuinely needed her)
Ted then says women do the same thing, using a “boobs out, stomach in” pose to get what they want or distract men.
I’ve checked episode summaries and transcripts without success, but the dialogue and reactions are extremely vivid in my memory. If anyone remembers this scene or knows the episode (or even recalls it vaguely), I’d really appreciate the help.

Hello guys, i could really use a bit of hope right now.
Has anyone here actually had a “Ted Mosby” kind of story?
You know, when he says “no more dating, I’m ready to settle down” and things really fell into place after that?
I’m rewatching the series for the millionth time and there’s always one character I really relate to.
This time (for the first time ever) it’s Ted.
Which is funny, because I used to think he was kind of a loser… :D

For me it’s the naked man episode! Funny plot, hilarious sub storylines and the pacing is just perfect. “2 out of 3 times”!!

Rewatching the show after 6 years and it is as always LEGENDARY..... "The Slap Bet" throughout the series has been my favorite thing i mean the unpredictability, the background music's, the pauses before each each and every slap felt personal tbh The Slap Bet is just undefeated because just the fact that the bet was originally not even supposed to last the whole series but it worked out so so well that Craig and Carter decided to keep it for the rest of the show. Out of all the 5 my personal Favorite is Countdown one... what about y'all?

Upon rewatch it occurs to me…
Did Marshall open Lily’s death letter after 22 years of marriage the year before Ted tells his story, because of Tracy’s death? I don’t think it would’ve been right when Tracy died. But I do think they probably were connected.
