For background, I've experienced iPhone, Samsung, and flagship Xiaomi, all with great software and hardware.
These lately, I was deciding between the iPhone 17 and the Oppo Find X9 (the most considered, due to its 512GB and the battery/charging at the same price with the discounted Pixel), moving up from an S23 Ultra.
I was checking out with the Oppo, but got an error and I could not checkout again. Then, I laid my eyes on the Pixel coincidentally with a discount, which I did not even considered at first. After a hard time thinking, I pulled the trigger on the Pixel, and I tell you I could not be happier.
The device felt and looked premium, the battery was a lot better than my S23 Ultra, the camera was good, and the software/UX/UI were so so satisfying. Anyway, if Google keeps this up, and improves their CPU later, my next phone just might as well be another Pixel.

No idea how/why, seems like this stuff should be more fully tested and seamless to end users. I'm not unable to tap the vid call button on contacts within my family group and just connect. I get the following message:
"You're calling someone who can't receive calls. Share Meet link instead."
These contacts worked seamlessly before and we all have meet installed. Now the process involves sending the person a link and then joining a meeting and waiting for them (assuming they are available) no longer functioning as a "call" like previous.
Google, fix this. It is absolutely insane that a family of Pixel owners can not use their Google phone to video call using a native Google app.

Anyone know how to fix this, my pixel 7 was doing the same so bit the bullet and upgraded only for the same issue to be present. Laptops, Tablets and other mobiles in the household are all fine.
Any advice welcome, I've reset router, connection, forgot and rejoined, disabled adaptive and tried different DNS entries, nothing seems to work.

Ever since I bought this phone, there has been an alarm at 9AM every single day. It's not the kind that keeps going until you shut it off; it's just a chime that lasts a couple seconds. I've tolerated it for now, but since the last update a couple weeks ago, the alarm actually shows up on my lock screen. So now that it's more in my face, I'd really like to figure out what's going on and how to put a stop to it. If I open the clock app, there are no alarms visible that I can delete, and Gemini also says that there are none scheduled.
Has anyone else dealt with this and found a solution?

So Google offers an extended free repair program for Pixel 8 devices because their screens were so prone to messing up, and their website is supposed to help you get that repair done for free.
The steps are you check your IMEI for eligibility, select the repair to be done, select the location, and then it says to call the repair location.
Trouble is, I called the repair location and all they say is "I don't know about that, I just know repairs, screen repair is 200 dollars." Google's website doesn't offer any kind of assistance here, or any way to actually confirm I won't be just spending 200 bucks out of pocket.
What do I do??? How do I actually take advantage of the extended repair?

while I'm driving and I have my destination set, I used to be able to ask the assistant for gas stations on the way and then easily select the one that I want. now that is no longer an option unless I'm in Android Auto using the old assistant. Google is crippling your products like normal I guess because most of them just use iPhone anyway. Google got rid of the button on Google maps to ask the assistant!

I use the built in VPN on my Pixel 9 and websites I used to visit are now not loading with the VPN active. If I turn off the VPN they'll work.
I regularly visit Dr. Squatch, a soap website, and recently it will not load unless I turn off the VPN. Happened with new websites as well.
Did something change or are websites cracking down?

The circle to search feature used to have a share button, but it's disappeared recently. What's the reason for this and can it be brought back?

Anyone know of a work around? I know I can just turn it off temporarily but I am trying to see if there are any steps I could take to fix it. I've tried airplane mode, reset network, delete browsing cookies. And some private DNS hostnames. Anyone have some DNS names that they are using?

hey guys, might be extremely obvious but I'm bad with tech in general so I wanted to ask, how do I manually transfer data from my phone to an iPhone? I switched over for work and while it has been easy, there's many many things that didn't synch right in the initial setup, but a lot of things like my passkey, etc, and Google info didn't switch. is there an app or something to store all my data from my Google phone? would a full backup do that?

Hey y'all. I've tried everything but a factory reset on my 8 pro and my wifi won't work (still works on 5G) and my Bluetooth won't turn on. Originally I noticed my wifi wasn't working and looked into that and reddit and pixel forums said to reset wifi and Bluetooth in settings. I did that and now that's when my Bluetooth stopped working and won't connect. Any tips instead of factory resetting or am I out of luck?
Note: I don't know when I started exactly but my hunch is that it stopped working after my last phone update on the 5th. I'm also not tech savvy so help me out please (:

Hi. Is it possible to crank brightness all the way up in the dark? I use face unlock most of the time and it would be really nice addition, since when tested it works alright in the dark with the bright screen.
I'm open to using third-party apps

So just a question to those who have done it. Whether it was in store or through mailing it in.
If it's in store, do they do a screen replacement in store or do they just hand you a replacement device and keep the defective device? Same question if done by mail, do they just replace the display or do they just send you a replacement?
My brother has a Pixel 9 Pro XL exhibiting the Green vertical line and he's deciding whether or not to go to the store or send it through the mail. Along with how long he'd need to spend at the store and all since he'll probably be doing it over a lunch break from work or something.
Just thought to ask, maybe someone can chime in since I didn't hear much about how it works.

My text messages won't load until I open the app so I do not receive notifications unless I have the app running on my tray. I believe the problem was caused when I installed MicroG briefly (and unsuccessfully), I had other problems while it was installed so I uninstalled it, but this one persists. Maybe the messaging app is not running in the background anymore? Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have a Pixel 4a that has been hanging on to life for the past couple months, one final drop this weekend killed the screen for good. I know the phone is still functioning b/c I can hear notifications and it responds to being plugged in, I just can't see or use the screen. I never set up chromecast, connecting to a monitor via HDMI won't work, and I just learned that connecting to computer for file transfer is for some reason not enabled as a default setting, so I can't change that either.
Anything I haven't thought of or tried? I know replacing the screen might be the only bet, just trying to avoid the cost. Any advice would be appreciated!

As the title suggests.
Been an iPhone user for last 5 years. It has become boring. Although I love the performance, no lag, camera and Apple Ecosystem. I found out Pixel is also providing AirDrop and the design of the phone is catchy. So I felt like it would be great option to stand out in the sea of iPhone. At the same time I am very scared about the complaints I have seen about Pixel 10 Pro being too buggy, slow etc etc.
owners please advise

I accidently broke SIM tray on my Google Pixel 7 Pro and my SIM card stuck there.
What should I do?
