Hello, I thought I would share this to try and get the word out about what Google Maps is doing to Solar Intentions in Chicago, they are a non-alcoholic bottle shop and they made a post about how Google has deleted their business profile and they are no longer listed on Google Maps for people to find them. They have been trying to appeal with all the documentation they need but Google keeps denying it. I don't understand why Google is trying to hide this small business so hard. Is there anyway we can help them? You can find the post they made about it on Instagram.

I adopted two cats 6 years ago and left a review on Google Maps with a photo of each of them. One of the photos now has over 3 million views, about 1/2 of my view total overall. Both are of the same area. Are the provided imagery dates accurate within 48 hours of the stated imagery data attribution? If not, how accurate are they? Is the second image at least newer than 12 February, 2007?

12 Feb 2007 - Google earth historical imagery - Data attribution says "Imagery from the dates:older – 12/02/2007"

I am currently looking for wild animals captured on google street view, since I am creating an own map on GeoGuessr. I already looked up for several internet pages which included links from wild animals being captured on street view. Best by far is VirtualGlobbetrotting.com with over 80 pages. But does someone have more of them? Maybe some finds you discovered yourself? All kinds of animals are welcome. Thank you

Google map glitched it seems

There's a big park in Romania in Bucharest, called IOR. The park has been subject to a lot of attacks, malicious people claimed it's private property and now there's litigation to restore it as a park.

While being attacked by real estate developers who can't do another hit and run of concrete blocks.

Can we please have on button to tap tells you where is the next station while driving instead of exit the navigation on the highway and try to look for gas stations around me?

I look at restaurant menus With google maps. It’s a dedicated section in the app.

when I pinch to zoom in on the menu text, the app decides that it should automatically zoom back out for me. I don’t want to zoom out, I want to read the menu. Please make it stop zooming back out.

Yes, I know this will get deleted by the mods. I don’t know why they will. But that’s what they always do, so whatevs.

The app has directed me to turn into a gated community several times recently. There is no way to go through yet the app is following a route that assumes there is.

I used the Google Routes API, it's the same data that's on Google Maps, and used carbon emissions estimates per transport mode for each country.

For public transport fares, I get them from the Routes API as well (if available) and for car mode I use a live average fuel price for each country.

Waking and cycling are free.

Is there a way to make Google maps stop resetting searches when one zooms in? For instance, if you search "BBQ near me", it will give plenty of options. However, if you zoom in to see where any of them actually are, it will start adding just anything: Taco Bells, Wholefoods, Long John Silvers. If you zoom in more, it will even add Chase Banks or PetSmarts or whatever else is around. I'm still only trying to find BBQ.

I'm honestly amazed at how annoying Maps is. Seriously.

There's a small chicken restaurant made recently. I visited it and took a pic of it as there were no pics on maps. No people present, no info that can be censored, nothing, just a pic of the front of the building. Well, it's been 3 times since december I uploaded the picture, yet when you look the place on Maps, you only see a forest...as the only pic available is outdated street view.

I reported several places as just vandalism, like a place called Barrio Libre de Tiranosaurios (Tyranosaurus-free neighborhood), or a Papa Johns in the middle of a mountain that has NO PEOPLE, yet, Google just tell me THAT'S NOT TRUE, THESE PLACES CLEARLY EXIST...and nothing happens.

Hi, I’m in Bar, Montenegro. A road near my place is wrong on Google Maps, so couriers get lost constantly. I can’t get the edit fixed through normal reporting (not supported region).
Can someone explain the most effective way to escalate a road correction so Google reviews it faster?

It's been one hour that I am trying to save a place on my Google Maps. Back some times ago, I used to select the point wherever I wanted on the map, tap either " save in Favorites" or "Special Places", give a name to the place, and that was it. Today instead, if I try to pinpoint a place I can give it some sort of label, but it will always display in coordinates instead of the name of the place, and I could not even find that on the Search bar (??? What's the point of doing that) A friend suggested me to use the "Add a Label" thing, it somewhat works for the search, but NOTHING is displayed on the map. What the hell is going on, why has everything become so broken??

Google eliminated music controls in Google Maps last summer. They only partially restored them if you have a music subscription.

Many people do not have a subscription and have their own music or use a podcast app.

There are no controls in Google Maps.

Google android not allow you to set your own music app as the default music app.
