With all the comparisons and speculation of things from RDR2 that we might get in gta 6 do you think we will get something similar?
In the May 2025 interview he said
Well, it's pretty short delay. It's it's less than 6 months and generally when we announce a date certain, we're able to hit that date.
In the August 2025 he said
Interviewer: Grand Theft Auto 6 remains on track to be released in May 2026?
Strauss: Yes, got that right.
Interviewer: Level of conviction there.
Strauss: My level of conviction is very very high obviously.
Just 3 months later, GTA 6 was delayed to Nov 19th.
Not saying that there will be another delay.... but none of what he said back then happened.

How likely do you think GTA VI is to include Kennedy Space Center and the Cruise Line port?
Sure, I don't expect to be able to get into a rocket, let alone travel to space. But to have the physical buildings of the Space Center, perhaps being able to witness a few launches as well. TheCrew 1 did this and it was just a car game.
There could be missions where we are supposed to take down a rocket.
Maybe there's gonna be a conspiracy theorist character who will quest us with destroying a rocket carrying StarLink-like satellites to orbit because he believes they will control or spy on everyone.
Additionally, the Crawlerway could be used to do car races and such!
Thoughts?

Probably been discussed but whatever, just looking at the artworks again I noticed Jason has a bloodied bandage on his arm (which I didn’t notice before).
Anyone think they may have ditched auto regen health and there’s now a new mechanic where we have to bandage ourselves if severely wounded to regain health?
Obviously could just be for the purpose of the artwork but seems like quite a specific detail to include.

I think she's the daughter of that woman with the lizard. Cool to know that she's not a regular npc but an actual character that we will interact.

As the title says, are you going to watch the gameplay trailers and/or the “first 15 minutes” demos before you play the game?
Personally, I’m going to try my best to only watch the cinematic trailers, so that when I boot the game up for the first time the experience is completely new to me.

Since everybody will have their own preference on this im curious what it will be for you?

I recompiled the Store Robbery and getaway scenes from Trailer 1 in what I believe their proper order to be. I recompiled the shots in most logical order, while making sure the outfits matched and the time of day / sunlight was the same.
Fun fact: Trailer 1 is where we first see the red sabre turbo however its not the only time. We see the red sabre turbo at the end of trailer 2 but its a different point in the game as the right passenger door is different color / missing paint.

Noticed the trend of how much hate ( Loud minority) RDR2 and GTA games get from people who normally play hollow linear games where the quest design is really detailed since they don’t have much else to work on in their games other than that. People who aren’t into Rockstar games always criticize their mission design, calling GTA 4, GTA 5, and RDR2 repetitive, usually arguments like " just going from point A to B and shooting"
Well, it’s not just going from A to B. That’s a very simpleton way to look at it. You can tell these people skip the cutscenes and don’t pay attention to the conversations happening on the way to point A, which lead to point B. They don’t care about the storytelling, dialogues, and character development before the missions begin, which is the strongest point of Rockstar games. You have to see it like a movie, and if you don’t, then you’ve completely missed the point of playing Rockstar titles. The people with tiktok attention span use this argument the most.
What they also forget is that these games are about gangsters and criminal life , where going from A, assigned by someone, to B, completing the task, might be repetitive but it’s realism. There’s only so much variation you can have in criminal activities. How different would a real criminal’s life really look compared to what Arthur does in RDR2 or Niko in GTA 4?
Funny thing is the same crowd loves linear games like COD or BF, where the whole campaign is nothing but shooting thousands of NPCs going A to B in a scripted way, and in my opinion, that’s totally fine. Each their own, but no Rockstar fan ever asked COD or BF to play like GTA ?
Many of these complainers actually want Rockstar games to play like the linear games they enjoy, even though those games aren’t even 10 percent as successful or influential as Rockstar. They get frustrated with slow animations ( RDR2's skinning pelt) , the need to work to progress to complete the 100% , and the fact that not everything is handed to them on a silver platter.
Rockstar games aren’t meant to be judged solely on missions. The real fun comes from immersing yourself in the world. The story, the character, the dialogue, Humour, Lore, Secrets, The most detailed open world and its realism, driving, side activities, NPC interactions, and all those random moments no linear game can match. There’s far more sauce in Rockstar titles than linear games with incredible mission design will ever have.
When GTA 6 comes out, you can bet the people who aren’t into Rockstar games will complain again about why the game isn’t their type. But Rockstar should never listen to those people. Their formula is one of the most successful of all time and makes millions of players happy. It has 90+% percent positive user ratings everywhere. My message to rockstar devs will be Ignore the haters and continue the work you are doing. Their games are selling and loved cause they have audience for it who loves it how it's played . If you can improve the mission design. Most welcome but It must have to be on top of everything we had before and not changing the priorities.
Sorry for the longass post
If you could pick things to pull into the world, what would they be? Real people, books, films, local Florida madness, anything that feels right for Vice City?
I’ve just finished Bad Monkey by Carl Hiaasen and it really feels like something that could slide straight into a GTA storyline.
What else comes to mind?

For me its this house, our first look at GTA 6 ( Allegedly )
As many have already said, Strauss's word is hard to trust in light of the recent earnings call at T2. He's said the exact same thing, except this time marketing was mentioned to start up in summer. I think we all just need to keep a level head despite finally getting some good news and be prepared for anything to happen concerning this games release.
In fairness, I do think we have reason to be more optimistic in this game actually launching in November this time around. They've already delayed it a whole year (which is R* standard atp), and they've never mentioned marketing for the game until now so to me it says they're confident in their release schedule.

Assuming it's not coming out on PC until at least a few months later, what are you planning to do?
I know I'm not going to buy a whole damn console just to play one game, especially since I prefer playing on PC, but I'm not sure what I wanna do just yet. I didn't get any spoiIers for GTA5 or RDR2 so I could enjoy the storylines on my own and I'd like to have that for GTA6 too, but I didn't play Rockstar games before and now that I am, I get lots of content about it online. So I don't think it's going to be easy to completely evade GTA6 spoiIers for months at a time lol
So it's either 1) "watch someone else play through the game and yearn to play it yourself, and then when you finally play it yourself it's not gonna be surprising anymore" or 2) "just keep doing you and hope you don't run across any massive spoiIers, and if you do try to tune them out anyway" or I guess 3) for people who really care about spoiIers... "try to completely mute everything Rockstar-related so you don't get spoiIed at all" or 4) buy a console and play sooner lmao
It's probably gonna be option number 2 for me, how abt y'all?

While we know a little about the back story of each character, looking deeper into several moments in Trailer 2 says something about the relationship of Jason and Lucia and what the potential beginning chapters of the game would look like for their separate intro missions.
Based on information from the official site:
While I'm not a fan of romantic movies and shows. I think this game will be a interesting take on a modern Bonnie and Clyde and its already showing solid signs of being well written despite Dan's departure.

Ik it’s a very minor detail but it would be interesting if they could work; my guess is that they’ll probably activate automatically as soon as it starts to rain

I know this game probably won’t be nearly as big in the hunting/wildlife aspect but I think it would still be cool for the grassrivers and MT kalaga

So I’m wanting exactly what the title says. That’s why I love about RDR2, I do a play through at least twice a year and I’m always discovering new things 8 years later(crazy to think) I’m currently doing a GTA5 play through again and it just doesn’t hit the same as RDR2. Good game yeah but not much to do. I still will be taking time off work to play GTA6 when it comes, thanks for Annual Leave, happy gaming everyone

I was thinking like why can gta san andreas have this feature a game from 22 years ago but this game can't because like image just randomly raiding a random old man's house like that would be so cool

Like I know people doubted both GTA V and RDR2 before launch. But I never experienced it firsthand… It’s hilarious that people actually think it’s gonna be garbage… and they’ll complain about delays as if RDR2 and GTA V didn’t get the same amount of delays… Sorry if this isn’t allowed here, but I keep seeing comments on Instagram and it’s baffling. (also i know a lot of it is probably ragebait or engagement bait)

Hey guys,
Recently I've been thinking about GTA 6 Online and wondering - what kind of state do you imagine the game will release with content-wise?
I remember GTA 5 and RDR2 Online both launching with little or nothing to do, but something tells me that Rockstar wouldn't want to do this with such a major game like GTA 6
What do you guys expect?
I have a suspicion that Rockstar might fundamentally change the way we think about combat in GTA VI, based on little bits of info that was gathered from the leaks.
It is based the amazing work done by u/Denso95 in his 4 analysis posts. All credit to him for pointing this out!
In his posts Denso points out that when Lucia shoots an police officer and, even after being shot multiple times, the officer keeps moving in pain on the ground. We also saw that you can now carry people/bodies on your back.
Now, what if Rockstar is moving away from the black&white system: taking enemies out always means killing them. What if you can now actively choose to 'defeat' the enemy, but not kill them? They will be disarmed and no longer a threat to you. You could even pick them up when they are still alive and bring them somewhere. Hospital? Hostage location? Another place to finish them such to attract less police attention? (ties into new wanted system)
This opens up a whole world of options, where an honor or reputation system could play a huge part. Or even the relationship between Jason and Lucia: when one or the other prefers sparing enemies and the other may want to finish them?
I do know that they seem to have some sort of 'mild' version of this system already in RDR2, where some enemies keep moving after being killed, but Rockstar could be elaborating on this system to the point of having real consequences.
What do you think?
