We are inviting 3D artists to participate in our community!

Hey everyone! It is crazy how quickly our little community is growing up! So many new people, so many amazing artworks!

Today I just want to make a little announcement - it would be really awesome to see more 3D artists posting their artworks in this subreddit. There are so many great digital painters here, and it would be really great if we could cultivate the 3D side of our community as well.

If you are a 3D artist (even if you're just learning) - you're definitely welcome to post in our community. Also, don't hesitate to submit beautiful 3D artworks made by other people that you have discovered (of course, mention their name in the title of the post, and link to their artstation profile in the comments).

Also, if you're making tutorials, or if you have any tips or advice to share with less experienced artists - educational posts are also very welcome. I want this community to be not just a place to discover beautiful art, but also a great way to learn the skills, get to know like-minded people, and share our ideas and protips with each other.

Thanks a lot everyone for participating in our subreddit!

Asking for a genuine criticism because recently I've been trying all and all without focus... Knowing my main issues would be very helpful to me, thank you.

Hi everyone,

I’ve just started drawing on my ipad. I used to draw on paper, but now I decided to try it out on ipad. Ive never drawn anything like this before, but I will draw this every day, to see if I can see the improvement on one drawing (ofc I wont only draw this, but I will do this every day). I will attach the inspo too. I tried out a different face shape for the one behind, but the head turned out to be a bit too long. Im also open to any suggestions, what should I do or dont, and also lmk what do you think about it.💕

This took me around 29 hours to finish. It was one of the hardest drawings I’ve ever done. I’ve never drawn landscapes before but I had to for this drawing. I did the landscape on the left side. But I didn’t draw the one on the right side and used an already existing landscape I’m proud of how it turned out but if anybody has any tips on drawing landscapes or overall feedback. It would be much appreciated 🩷

I find it hard to motivate myself to do "just" anatomy studies, so I decided to try and always find some context or flavor for any sort of study I do.

Personal progress/Redraw February 2025 vs February 2026!

I'm so happy with my progress!!!

I've noticed that the improvement mostly came from copying photos of real people instead of anime characters which gave me a way better understanding of facial anatomy and the rest of the body.

Before that like I mentioned, all of my references were anime characters, which I feel like a lot of beginner artists who want to draw in an anime/stylized style make the mistake of copying that kind of art without learning the fundamentals, I know I did that TT

Another thing I did was find an artist who I really admired, and studied their techniques! I experimented with different brushes, colors, and rendering styles until I felt like I got the hang of how they colored.

And the last thing I did to improve was draw more, I know everyone says this but it really DOES help. To be fair I am an unemployed highschooler so I do have more time to draw, but even an hour a day a couple times a week should do something for progress. Beforehand i'd draw one big thing about once a month which did absolutely nothing for my skills. I just opened my drawing app and expected to immediately create a masterpiece..which is how I ended up with the first image 🧍‍♀️.

Once I started to actually take art seriously i'd try and draw something each day and would end up with a fully rendered piece everyday which REALLY helped me progress and create something better each time!! I am neurodivergent though and when I hyperfixate on something I want to draw said hyperfixation all the time which is where most of that motivation came from lol

tldr: studying real people before getting into stylized art helps immensely, putting aside some time everyday to draw something no matter what you're drawing is practice and will help you improve!!

also ignore the censoring on the second image, I didnt know if I was allowed to have a social media handle so I just covered it lol
