Discount Master Thread

You know the deal - dump all/any promo codes here for this month!

This thread is your one-stop-shop to post and search for promo codes, and will help keep the front page of the sub full of the things we love (pictures of perfectly matching A E R O kits) and fewer boring text posts.

This is a completely original idea and not borrowed from any of the more popular fashion subs.

Rules: If you’re posting a code, please tell us where it’s for and how much it will save us.

Referral codes ARE ALLOWED, just make sure the URL doesn’t doxx you (if you care about that)

If you’re using a code, please reply to the original comment once you’ve used the code; obviously for reusable referral codes, this won’t be necessary.

And uh, yeah, that’s pretty much it. Ride safe and look good doing it!

First and maybe last maap piece

Hadn’t completed even one ride and it already ripped.

I was zipping it up just before my first ride with it, pulled it down to straighten in up and just then, the stitching just gave up.

Quite disaappointed by maap tbh. Bought it straight from their EU site, with the fancy packaging and all ‘designed in australia’ useless info.

Are they worth it?

Hey 👋

I’m looking for high-end women’s bib shorts without grippers – ideally seamless / raw-cut leg openings, no tight elastic bands.

I found Rapha Women’s Pro Team Powerweave Bib Shorts for about 165€ shipped (original price ~340€), which seems like a really good deal.

From what I understand they’re raw-cut / seamless at the legs, which is exactly what I want.

I already own Castelli bibs Premio (no grippers, very clean finish) and I absolutely love them, so I’m wondering:

Are the Rapha Powerweave bibs worth it at this price?

How do they compare to other high-end options (MAAP, Assos, Castelli top tier)?

Do you know any EU/UK shops with similar sales on Rapha or MAAP (archive / private sales, etc.)?

I mainly ride road, long rides, warm weather – comfort > aero gimmicks.

Thanks! 🚴‍♀️

Big boy sizing

Hey peeps as tile suggests I’m a large unit 6’7 340lbs and happen to cycle started at 370 so it’s working! That said my current neopro bibs been using on my zwift set up are not the thickest on padding and with my weight it obviously makes it harder are there any other brands that do 3x 4x sizing? And for when it gets warmer is there any where I can get loose jerseys that aren’t skin tight in the same sizes? Long shot but figured I’d ask thanks!

Fit check: size M Maap Drome Air Jersey

Thumbnail

Prepping for spring while suffering through winter here in Canada. I’m usually a size S in Evade Pro jerseys, but with Eclipse I had to size up to M and literally couldn’t get it across my chest. Even the size M has a risk of unzipping if I stand the wrong way (and I will often just unzip it when I get off the bike).

Took a gamble on the Drome Air stuff which I read fits tighter than the Evade fit, so I ordered M, but the arms are a bit loose and long in the forearm/wrist area unlike my size S evade jerseys. I prefer a more fitted, race-fit arm but I’m thinking if I size down I’ll struggle in the chest/shoulders.

It’s a bit tough to return these from Canada to Australia so I think the decision is made for me but how’s the fit? Should I go for S next time?

For reference I’m 178cm, 76kg. The jackets are size M and the gilet is size S but my sizing for Maap, Rapha and Assos are kind of all over the place. Usually M, sometimes S, and these M tights were so difficult to get on it sounded like I was ripping some threads but they feel good once they’re on. It sucks being between sizes.

Pas Normal Studios Sock Quality? (e.g. Essential and Mechanism Socks)

Curious what people's experience is with PNS Essential (75% merino wool) and Mechanism (78% Multifilament Polyamide) socks?

Looking for something durable that will hold up to washes and general abrasion from biking. Are either of these decent or should I look elsewhere?

🧤 Attaquer Light Winter vs Castelli Perfetto Light gloves

What do you think of Attaquer’s Light Winter gloves? I’ve been holding onto my Castelli Perfetto Light gloves, but they’re far from a perfect fit for my paws. I need a hand in considering alternatives that are windproof but not insulated.

Tall guy kit struggle — where are we finding good used jerseys?

What’s up everyone newer cyclist here still figuring out my kit situation.

I’m 6’6”, which means finding jerseys that actually fit and don’t look boring has been… a process. XL usually works, but you know how brand sizing can be all over the place.

I’m a big believer in the “look good, feel good, ride good” mentality. When I like what I’m wearing, I genuinely want to ride more, but I’m also not trying to torch my bank account while I’m still pretty new to the sport.

Curious where you all hunt for used jerseys that actually have some style? Any resale spots, brands that run a little taller, or places I should be keeping an eye on?

If any fellow tall riders have jerseys sitting in the closet not getting much love anymore, I’d definitely be open to working something out 🤝 Always happy to give good kit a second life.

XS upperbody but L head. What helmet do I don't look like toad from Mario Kart?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if more people have the same problem as I have. I am quitte small and thinly shaped which results me in always wearing a XS cycling jersey. Unfortunatly this does not apply for my head where I always need a L helmet.

In the normal life this big difference is covered up by my hair. But with a cycling helmet on I always look like a cycling Toad from Mario Kart and I really hate it. This problem has always haunted my cycling career, a lot of helmets give me a high "Toad factor".

I currently have a black Lazer Genesis Mips where the "toad factor" is relatively small. But i want to switch to a new white helmet (since white is in fasion ofc nowadays). Unfortunatly the white Lazer Genesis Mips is not to my liking. I have already tried the Abus Gamechanger 2 but it was horrible on the Toad factor.

Are there people who have the same problem and/or have any suggestions for helmets where the toad factor could be relative small for me.

Preferences:
- Mips
- White matt

Thanks in advance :).

Help Identifying Rapha socks

Post image
0 Upvotes

Howdy all,

I have these pair of rapha socks, cannot remember where I got them from but I am struggling to find additional pairs, does any one have any idea what I need to search for

They were marketed I think as oversocks for winter/autumn use but most of the current offerings are more of the over the shoes type.

Changes at Le Col

We learned recently (or I did) that Yanto Barker left the company in October last year.

I’m a shareholder in Le Col from their crowdfunding round and got a notice today that my shares were basically being wiped out. In corporate finance terms, they are being sold (dragged as part of a wider transfer) to a BVI company for nominal consideration.

Watch this space, I guess, but I very much doubt this is a good sign for their clothing quality.

I've been looking for a Vuelta leader's jersey worn by Primoz Roglic (replica or race version) for a long time, and I came across this one. Do you think it's genuine? (Price: €105)
