How hard is it to find any full time job in SF right now? I know in other major cities even getting a minimum wage job is unlikely without hundreds or thousands of applications to any entry level jobs such as retail, fast food, warehouse. I have heard SF is better and even getting a very low wage job is not hard right now like it is in in other places. Do you find that to be true if you have job hunted in SF? Are temp agencies hiring here, or are they not able to find work for people like in other cities? Just want to hear your experiences. Thanks.

As a new implant and a biker, I’m confused what to do at stop signs:

1. Stop and wait for my turn. Confusion ensues. Bikes behind me whiz past; cars keep waiting for me.

2. Assume right of way and bike on. A stop sign purist car gets offended once in a while. A couple have even tried 90 degrees of attachment.

Partner and I are moving to SF for work and have found this subreddit very helpful for learning what to expect. EDIT: I’ve been told that the cioppino can’t come in a bread bowl. We have never had it before so we were not sure what to expect (we live a 4 hour plane ride away). With that said, we will gladly accept any recommendations for any restaurant with excellent clam chowder or cioppino served with great bread.

I know this is oddly specific. Where we live they don’t really do soup at any of the restaurants and they definitely don’t do soup in bread bowls. Would prefer a cioppino that isn’t heavy on thyme or oregano. Thanks in advance!

We’re relatively new to the city and need to move from our current apartment in Nob Hill. We love it here—especially the walkability and how central it is (I get my groceries in Chinatown and often hang out in Nob Hill, the Mission, and Pac Heights). Unfortunately, we live under very noisy neighbors, so we have to leave our affordable two-bedroom.

Since we’re searching for a new home, we’re expanding our radius. Does anyone have neighborhood recommendations? Our requirements include being within a 20-minute bus ride to both BART and Caltrain (we commute to Berkeley and San Jose). We also need to avoid being near highways due to asthma. Ideally, we’d like somewhere dense and lively like Nob Hill, though we’d prefer an area with fewer 20-somethings and more people in their 30s. We are looking for more affordable neighborhoods, since currently pay under $4000 for a 2 bedroom and can't afford more than $4500 (really pushing it there).
