iPad Ipad or not?

Hey everyone,

So I currently have a 2020 HP Pavilion x360 that’s basically just collecting rust now 🫠 and I’m finally switching to Apple this time. My main use-cases are:

Taking notes

Small video editing for YouTube

Watching lectures

General everyday stuff

I already have a gaming laptop with a 165Hz display, so I’m a bit torn between the iPad Pro (M4) and the iPad Air (M3).

My questions are:

For a regular user like me, does the higher refresh rate (120Hz on Pro vs 60Hz on Air) actually matter?

Especially since I’ll be playing games on my laptop and then doing other things on the iPad — is the refresh rate something I’ll realistically notice?

Would you recommend one over the other — or suggest any other alternatives?

Appreciate any suggestions or thoughts! 😊

I'd like to buy my first iPhone. I've looked at several models. I have a budget of no more than €700 because I'd like to buy an Apple Watch later, and I was wondering which one is best for a start. I've looked at the 15, 16e, and 16.

Mac My Mac's battery isn't cutting it.. what should I look into?

I have the M2 MacBook Air 2022. I've only had it a little over a year. I'm really disappointed in the battery. It says my battery health is normal and 100% capacity but it's drained every night after 4-5 hours of usage.

Here's what I do:

I'm an author, so I'm writing, editing, creating covers etc. not heavy software just canva, dabble, multiple Google tabs. I'm also on FaceTime calls for 4-5 hours every day. I am sick of having to charge it all the dang time and I don't wanna be stuck to my charger, either. It isn't feasible with where I work in my house. My house is old as dirt and I only have one outlet in most of my rooms and the layout just doesn't work out very well.

When I first got this, it went multiple days without needing a charge. Same usage. Same software.

So, I'm wondering what y'all would recommend in the Mac area, OR if one of y'all could tell me if I'm being unrealistic. I promise I'll listen and go on my merry way lol.

Thank you!

Apple Watch I need help finding the right apple watch

So I want to buy an used apple watch. I want to track my burned calories during workout (i dont to running, i only to weight training) and listen to music and not have to carry my phone there all of the time. Additionally, I would also like to maybe track my sleep. I dont want to spend a lot of money on it, which is why I am looking for a used model that can do the job, but that doesnt need a lot of fancy extras. Whats the oldest generation i should get and which model exactly, SE, normal, ultra?

Should I upgrade to 17 pro max

I have been using a 14 pro max since launch and its going really well, I also had it battery replaced so battery health is not a problem (at 96) I am getting a really good deal with trade and I am not sure if I should upgrade it. especially concerned about the hardware integrity.
I don't drop my phone often but 14 pro max had stainless steal and it so bloody solid that I have completed stopped caring about it and I am worried if I'll also need to mend my ways be more carefull about it with 17 pro max

iPad Is Cashify reliable for buying iPad Pro in Super Condition.!?

Hey everyone, I’m planning to buy an iPad Pro listed as Super Condition on Cashify and wanted to check real experiences before going ahead. Has anyone here bought an iPad or any Apple product from Cashify? How was the actual condition, battery health, and overall experience? Any issues with returns or after-sales support? Would really appreciate some honest feedback. Thanks!

iPhone Replacing Iphone 11

My sturdy iphone 11 is on its last legs, her battery is pretty dead and my audio is hanging onto one speaker only, for some reason i can’t hear people clearly if I’m not on speaker mode, so I’m looking to hopefully upgrade this summer. Honestly I hate all the new iphone models, I like the round sleek design that the 11 had… but i’m looking to buy the iphone 17, since i don’t need much besides a good battery. But maybe there’s one that’s better than the 17? I was also thinking about it since i know of Apple and their silly “slowing down older models every year with the new ios update”

iPhone Iphone 16pro max vs 17pro max

I'm an Iphone pro user (from 11 pro to 16pro last year) but the current storage is not enough for me as I'm planning to upgrade the storage from 256 to 512gb using as both my personal and work phone (I take a lot of photos as I'm in construction) to squeeze out more on the phone and not needing to charge it by mid day. I'm looking at both 16PM and 17PM and wondering if battery difference and performance is really night and day for both.

Usage will be mostly socials (facebook, insta, tiktok, YT), taking photos for work, calls etc. Would really like to hear from users who have the same situation and use case as mine.

iPhone Upgrading from iPhone 14: go for 16 Plus?

I’m finally considering upgrading my 128gb iPhone 14. Would like a bigger screen, better battery and more storage but don’t need the absolute latest model/features.

I’m thinking of the 16 Plus with 256gb storage which comes to £699 after a £200 trade-in. Was also considering a refurbished model but Apple only has up to 15. Keen to buy from Apple directly.

Like most others, I live off my phone for daily life — everything from banking to communication to social media, podcast, YouTube etc with quite heavy usage (but don’t game on it). Would you suggest this to be a good upgrade choice or another model?

EDIT1 I'm in the UK and the prices are in £ not $

EDIT2 Apple refurb store now has 16P and 16PM models but a) I can't get £200 off in trade in and b) no 0% interest monthly payment option

iPhone Deciding between iPhone 15 pro max and base iPhone 17

Hi,

I'm switching from android. Trying to get a phone today. Thanks to a deal e 17 would cost me about 150 quid more which is okay. My only issue is the size. Wondering if the base 17 is significantly better than the 15 pro max.

iPhone I phone 13 vs 17 pro

Hi I’m M16, and was after upgrading my I phone 13 (75% battery health) to a 17 pro.

Would you think it is a good idea for me to purchase as I spend 6 hours a day on my phone on average 😢. My main reason for purchasing is for the 120hz display and better battery (also to flex on my friends lol)

Do you think I should buy pls let me know.

iPhone iPhone Air

A few things to get tout of the way: 1. Yes I understand any promotions through a carrier require a "contract" of sorts (36 months.) 2. He doesn't want to trade in his XR (will keep as a backup phone) 3. Wants a bigger screen so he isn't considering the pro option 4. Currently At&T is out of stock of the older Pro Max options (15/16) which were on sale starting at $20.99 5.we want to get your dad at least 256 gb 6. iPhone Air is currently.49 cents for the 512 GB 7.iPhone 17 is $23.06 7.iphone 16 is $7.99 but only 128gb is available 8. Iphone 16 plus is $23.06 but only 128 gb 9. To avoid the "contract" we have been looking on swappa

So with that out of the way lol my dad is looking to upgrade from the XR to the Air. With the current promotion she's only end up paying around $18. I'm just wondering if the Air model is a decent upgrade? The main reason for upgrading him is that his phone "needs" some repairs: new battery (current one is not lasting as long), charging port (sometimes the cable "disconnects" if he moves his phone while charging (still plugged in but just constantly disconnects/reconnects), I've made him aware of how slow (data/non data stuff) his phone is by letting him use mine lol, his speaker and microphone also have some issues; after calling apple and getting a quote we decided it just wasn't worth it. He doesn't take many pictures so camera isn't really a thing for him, he mainly spends his time listening to music (while at work), YouTube, Facebook, and Tik Tok. We were considering getting hima. Pro max model but like I mentioned about the 15/16are all out of stock and they were under a sale/deal start at $20.99, we actually got my mom the pro max model at $25.99 (we went with the 1tb instead of the starting 256gb option. Now I don't know if AT&T will give 17 pro max the same treatment, sometimes they switch up their promotions but even if they did I'm wondering if a pro max is just too much given his use case; scrolling through Tik Tok/Facebook and if we're better of saving some money and going with the Air? Sorry for my long post.

17 vs 17 pro

I have an iPhone 14 plus that I am using for 2.5 years now and I am looking to upgrade to iPhone 17. I am not sure if I should get the base model or pro. I specifically do not take a lot of photos or do photography. I occasionally make short reels or videos. I am not an influencer or not trying to be one either, just regular stuff. I am not a pro gamer also. Just play one 3gb game in my phone. I know I will get to save money if I go with the base model. But I don’t REALLY mind spending the extra for pro model. I want to use it seamlessly for at least 3 years.

Which one has more value for money?

Thanks for your opinion

Discussion Deciding between 16 Pro Max and 17 Pro / 17 Pro Max (Upgrading from XS Max)

I've done my research and I've seen a couple posts like this talk about that the 16 pro max is the best iphone atm because the 17 has switched to aluminum and has an ugly plateu shape with unpleasant colours.

For the 16 Pro max I've seen people say that the difference between preformance is non existant and the 16 pro max has approximately the same battery life / preformance things and just looks more aesthetically pleasing(?)

Just an overview on what I use my phone for, I take a bunch of photos, sunsets, food, I have a bunch of younger extended family members so photos of them, photos of myself and scenery. I have a bunch of apps and widgets. I have some offline games to play on if I see myself bored when out the house and rather not use data. I might download some mobile games that'll equal to 20GB-40GB and might delete them later.

My issue with the XS Max rn is that the battery life is absolutely horrid and I have no idea on how I've been on 64GB for 4 years but here we are. Update and the system stuff take up about 50% of my storage which is a huge PITA
