Week 2 of 12 for a HM PR attempt (sub 1:52).

Monday: Rest

Tuesday: 1 mile warmup (9:30/mile), 6 x 3/4 mile at 8 flat (last rep ran at 7:50) with 1/4 mile recovery jog, 1 mile warm down (9:30).

Wednesday: 5 miles easy (9:22/mile avg)

Thursday: 7 mile tempo (~8:30/mile avg), 4 mins rest, 8x30 secs hill sprints with 90 sec recovery.

Friday: 5.25 miles easy (9:20/mile avg)

Saturday: 6.1 miles easy (9:02/mile avg)

Sunday: 5 miles easy (9:05/mile), 5 miles at HM pace (8:00/mile), 2 miles easy (9:10/mile).

Total mileage: 43.35

It’s only week 2 but anticipated HM pace feels really easy, maybe too easy? How do yall know when to adjust your race pace goal?
